I am so glad I found this car seat. My 6 year old is 105 pounds and 51” tall. He has low muscle tone which makes it hard for him to sit up. This seat is perfect : it’s wide enough he can sit comfortably, it has him up a bit higher the his last so the seat belt sits correctly and it has a slight incline towards the back of the seat so he can sit and relax. It has a wonder latch system that was easy to install in just seconds. It is also easy to uninstall and move for car to car. It’s light weight and easy to clean! This is and over all amazing car seat it is sturdy enough for our bigger kiddos for sure!

And much more fitting for the average 6-7 yr old. Other boosters seem to be so narrow in the hips. This booster securely holds our grandson while not squeezing his hips if he squirms a little. Easy to install , easy to clean, low profile (not bulky), functions well. Grandkids say “it’s comfortable “.

I purchased the Diono Solana 2 XL 2022 backless booster seat for my 7-year-old son, and it has quickly become our go-to for everyday use. Perfect width for a toddler on the larger size!

I bought this and the Chicco GoFit Plus, and ultimately had to return the Diono. The look and quality is great, but the back is very flat and wide and my car (Tesla Model 3) has a curve to the back seat which makes it so this sits too far to the center of the car and makes it difficult\impossible to buckle the belt. Probably doable for an adult, but I'm pretty sure my 5yo wouldn't be able to to it themselves. The Chicco overall width is similar, but the back is effectively curved so it fit better with my seat (see picture for the two boosters back to back). The Diono has a slightly wider seating area, so might be better for wider kids. Ultimately the Diono probably works great for a minivan, SUV or pickup back seat with a bench, but not anything mid size or smaller.

I have a chunky kid. He's at least 4 feet (we haven't measured his height in a while) and weighs 78 lbs. He was getting extremely uncomfortable in the Chicco high back booster and the Graco high back booster he regularly sits in. This one fits him well and makes him feel so much better. I used the latch hooks to install so it doesn't go flying if I have to stop suddenly, and he can easily manage buckling in our Odyssey. Warning: it's wide. So wide. We definitely wouldn't be able to make 3 across fit, but we needed an extra wide seat. We're not looking for a slim seat. We were actually talking about completely taking him out of a booster seat before we found this one, so I'm just happy he has a seat that fits him.

I LOVE that this booster has latches to secure the booster to the seat like a car seat so it doesn’t slide out from underneath. The 2 cupholders are great for the extra drinks/water bottles that we have in the car. A little pricier than other booster seats but great quality and again, one of the few that has the latching system. Super easy to install and adjust to fit the seat, also very lightweight.

So my little girl who is nine is on the petite side for sure, and did not want a high back booster anymore. I confirmed with the pediatrician that it was OK to switch over because I’m always airing on the side of caution. I am a nurse, what can I say? I was a little skeptical because I wasn’t sure how it would fit, and if it would be comfortable based on a couple of the conflicting reviews but I have to tell you that I am so impressed! I am fully confident in the safety and love how comfortable it is for my daughter! It has a removable cover if we need to wash it. I also love the cupholders as an added bonus. I have a 2018 Toyota forerunner and it fits perfectly in the back. It also fits perfectly in my husbands GMC truck. I have not tried it out on a smaller vehicle but I don’t think it would be a huge difference as far as the fit is concerned I actually think I’m going to buy another one to put in Grandma’s Honda. I definitely did my research, and I am very happy with my purchase, and my being reluctance to change from a high-back booster to just a booster, was eased with this purchase. If you were on the fence like I was, I can tell you that you just have to think of it like this, it’s Amazon, if you don’t like it, or it doesn’t fit, just return it!

We have bought multiple Diono products over the years given their high quality and this booster seat similarly doesn't disappoint. We bought it in blue as blue is our son's favorite colour. He was thrilled with how it looked. The booster itself is lightweight for its size and yet feels sturdy and high quality. If you have used LATCH anchors before, installation will be a breeze. If you haven't used them before, it will still be a breeze. Removal is also a simple process. The only watch out is this is a large booster seat. We cannot use it in our small hatchback bc the unit impedes the seatbelt from connecting properly. This booster should fit comfortably, however, in any sedan and easily in any SUV (we have it installed in our compact SUV). Overall, a solid purchase that we are happy with!
