Is it expired? - yesIs it hard to open? - yesDoes it smell like petroleum? - yesIs it still the best shoe polish for spit polishing boots? - absolutely! Nothing even comes close, i tried to find Kiwi in local stores and settled for M&B high gloss and was immediately disappointed. However, a few coats of kiwi later and my boots look great. I bought 2 more cans!
