Snow, ice grips.
In no way do these spikes replace a 10/12 point crampon, but they do serve a purpose and they do it very well. I recently hiked the Tarmachan Ridge in full winter condition. Powdery snow with wind scarred ice sections. These spikes gave confidence under foot, very easy to put on and are a must to keep in your pack when it's possible you might encounter slippy conditions. Sometimes the conditions don't merrit a full crampon, this is where these spikes come into their own. Well made and great for the price.

Perfect gerip on Icy pavemtns and a very snug fit!
Got these to fit to my Timberland walking boots for those icy days. They are very well made. Spikes are sharp and grip excellently. They fit very snuggly so no chance of them slipping off. A very cost effective way to upgarde your favourite boots and minimise the risk of a fall on icy pavements as winters get colder, longer and more brutal.

Brilliant. Large is the limit for a UK walking boot.
Sizing is the problem with buying these things. Everyone quotes "US sizes"...how helpful. I can only help with L is the top end of a UK 10. The crampons are brilliant. I have a spinal disease which means I am in a world of trouble on ice and compacted snow. Fit them carefully, you can do this with the boot off (probably not with a shoe) and then leave them on till.the thaw. 100% confidence on all frozen surfaces. Note: if you wander about in surfaces which do not have a layer of ice or snow they will be scratched and gouged. Don't do that.

Must have item for winter Hiking
Amazing. easy to use. bought two pairs. The M size was perfect for the wife's size 5 boots and the XL was perfect for my size 12's. walking up ice paths in the Malverns in ease where others simply couldn't go.

No brainer
I bought them for a trip to the Arctic, nothing too extreme, just some hiking. They are incredibly easy (and quick) to put on and provide great grip. I ended up using them to walk around Tromso as the streets were pretty snowy and icy. Of course I wouldn’t use them to climb Everest but they are good enough for almost anything I foresee.

Great help in snow and ice
I bought these just before heading for Austria a few weeks ago. They are easy to out on and take off and are brilliant for snow and ice paths. Felt much less likely to slip or fall. Good value all round. Still seem sturdy after almost daily use for three weeks

Confidence on ice and snow
First day, bliss. Able to walk with confidence and safety on ice and snow. Showed many passers-by who were slipping and sliding. Second day, the metallic bar on one boot had come adrift and caught on the other boot. So when I tried to go down my front door steps, my feet were effectively tied together and I took quite a fall. Husband repaired cleats with pliers. Something to check before use.

20/10... These are the ones you're looking for!
I've been walking my dogs in icy conditions, and finally decided to get a pair of these after falling a couple of times. I wish I'd bought them sooner... I have ZERO worries about ever falling again while wearing these. I'm fairly confident I could run across sheer ice and not slip once. The spikes are long and seem really durable - definitely better quality than other styles. If you're trying to decide between these and other ones... I promise, you will not regret buying these. For sizing reference - I bought the medium for a size 8 women's winter boot. It's a perfect fit

Fulfills its purpose
Really good quality. Used them in Norway to hike ice and snow terrains. Really good grip.
