Why did you pick this product vs others?:It worked really well for our high power range hood. You need to tilt it up a little bit so the cover will close when there is no air flow. Only used the top two screws as the bottom two wasn't long enough to penetrate the siding.

This stainless vent is sturdy and staying really nice. Great fit and flap works well.

If installed on a level wall, the door won't close all the way. I had to use tapered door shims to install it on a few degrees slant. Other than that, it looks nice and hot air goes thru it fine like it's supposed to. I had no problem stretching the rubber gasket around the frame without glueing it, etc. As for the method of glueing a magnet on the outside of the door and attaching something on the screen for it to stick to, I found it too complicated to go out and find just the right strength magnet, etc. I already had door shims for mounting on an upward slant. But why not manufacture it that way in the first place! Now there's an idea for a patent!

Used it to vent a portable AC through a garage wall. Worked great, easy install, and looks great.
