Does this system work in the winter during frigid months?

I live in California, so "frigid" is relative. I leave it out year round with no ill effects. However, when I lived in colder climes, I moved it into the garage or basement during winter months and never had a problem.

how do you pull the casting out when they are ready?

Just scoop them out. You put the shelf with the ready castings on the top, take the lid off. This will cause the worms to want to head to a lower level. Stirring the castings can also encourage the worms to flee. Once the worms have left the layer, just scoop the castings out into a container. Pretty easy.

Does this make good/well made Compost tea?

YES! Please, remember to dilute it with water. It should look like tea before you place it at your plants roots. Do not put the "tea" on the leaves or fruit of the plant especially if it is for food for consumption.

This is our second worm factory. All pieces came in with no damage. Makes composting super easy. Worms have not escaped so they must like it. Wish there was a better way to collect leachate than just a spigot - most containers we put under are not flush enough against the side for me to think it's going to catch well.

Missing parts

It came with a lid that doesn’t look like the one in the picture, missing part to hold the worm tea, and missing the manual. I’m very disappointed because it’s bunch of stuff missing and I don’t know what to do with the worms once they arrive and have no home. Not reliable company.

Began setup right from the door

Just got it in today. Setup was extremely simple. Couple of bolts and screws for bottom and base. Attach spigot with included hand tightening nut and stack your first tray. Took worms from my Malibu's Blend compost bag and placed them in the setup. They dove down and seem happy. Will update review down the road if I have any issues or if things are still going smoothly.

Love it, great for indoor vermiculture

Great product! First shipment was received without plastic bolts or spout plugs the extras (newspaper, coconut fiber) but I returned the package and bought a new one that came complete. Works great inside, no smell, worms stay inside and eat away. Happy customer
