It sounds like overkill but, figuring out the correct method for using these they work great. Sand, too messy especially if they leak at a customer location. Water, you are guaranteed never to get a call back. Stones, only if you have excellent insurance to cover the back surgery. I found a solution, came back to Amazon and purchased industrial zip lock plastic bags, a vacuum sealer and after that, I am off to the races. When you consider one of your strobes, a softbox and goodness knows what else you are going to damage, sandbags are a no brainer. I used them at the base of lightstands, as a counter balance with large softboxes and to stabilize tripods with outdoors and trying to minimize camera shake on a critical shoot. Pay particular attention to the seams and the construction. These are not US manufactured so, quality control is not consistent. For the price, I would buy again.

Bags were sturdy. I liked that they included plastic bags which made it easy for me to fill with sand and tuck into the holder. Less messy.

These will require you to buy your own bags of sand. However, filling the bags is easy and they are perfect for stabilizing the light source when filming or taking still shots. The bags come equipped with everything needed.

I’ve purchased these bags multiple times to use in my photography studio. I love that they came with a plastic bag to keep the sand secured rather than the sand in the bag freely. I use these sandbags to secure my studio lights as well as my large backdrops.

So what is "The best possible compliment to a seller"? Easy you buy it again. That's what I did. I bought four of these sand bags. I loved the design. I loved the handles as I'm moving them around constantly. I love the clip/clasp thing. i love that they're double zipped. And they look cool. So I went and bought another four the next week. I've been using them for three months now and wonder how I ever got along without them.
