Best Toothbrush ever
Great to brush all around the gum edges as well as getting to your teeth leaving a great finish after a 2 minute automatic timer such good value. Ideal size and not too noisy . With the right toothpaste , apply first all in the mouth, then turn on the toothbrush for 2 minutes and the feeling of good gum health after is amazing .

Fantastic product
Fantastic product. I bought these initially to see whether electric toothbrushes were actually worth it — and wow, they really are. The difference is noticeable straight away. I purchased this set for both myself and my wife, and we’re both very impressed with the performance and quality. Excellent value for money and something I would definitely recommend to others.

A good basic brush from the Sonicare range.
I bought the Sonicare 3100 to replace a Sonicare 700 model which failed after several years use. In the meantime I tried a basic Oral B Pro Vitality which disappointed with it’s short battery life, lack of any sort of battery indicator and it’s rough crude action compared to the Sonicare 700. The 3100 is an inexpensive and fairly basic model in the Sonicare range, smaller and lighter than the earlier 700, but is pleasant to use and appears to clean well. So far, using it for the prescribed two minutes twice a day, the battery has lasted a fortnight – a distinct improvement on the Oral B – and the battery light is still flashing green ie still some power remaining. QuadCare gives you four cycles of 30 seconds each (listen for the brief pause to denote each new cycle) for upper and lower teeth/inner and outer, and then the 3100 switches itself off. The Oral B did not switch itself off which meant quickly fumbling for the power button. I haven’t activated the pressure sensor yet but I only apply light pressure to the brush. The pictorial instructions supplied with the Sonicare 3100 are somewhat cryptic with some guessing required as to their meaning. Plain and simple instructions in English would be an improvement. No travel case is supplied with this particular brush but I will use the old case supplied with my 700 model. Otherwise you might simply wrap it in a flannel, or pay around £5.00 more for the same brush with a bespoke case. As with all electric toothbrushes the original replacement brush heads tend to be dear but for the Sonicare I have found the Derfin brushes supplied by Amazon to be an acceptable substitute at a modest price.

Adequate but not outstanding
I’m giving it five stars because it’s perfectly adequate for the job of cleaning teeth. However (and admittedly on first use only, so it might not be fully charged) it’s not as powerful and doesn’t leave your mouth feeling as clean as my old Fairywill toothbrush, which I dropped multiple times on our tiled bathroom floor during five years of ownership before it finally gave up the ghost. Sadly Amazon don’t appear to sell the Fairywill anymore and this Sonicare looked like an ideal alternative. Time will tell whether that judgement was correct. Edit: having used this Sonicare toothbrush for a couple of weeks I can confirm that it’s far superior to my previous brand. Really gets into the gum line and leaves my mouth feeling super clean. For best performance it does need regular charging, but that’s no hassle.

Great product.
Great product of high quality and design. Working well for many months with no issues. Good as the more pricy versions. Battery lasts long.

Powerful toothbrush that lasts for years.
I have just replaced the same model after 3 years of continuous service. My dentist noticed the difference at the first appointment after changing from O-B to this, it is a much more thorough clean and my teeth are whiter for it. The toothbrush is easy to use with only on/off controls, and is substantial without being too large or small. The charge lasts a month with 2 cycles a day and it beeps every 30 seconds during the 2 minute cycle, turning off at the end. Towards the end of its life, the charge in the last brush still lasted over 2 weeks, with no loss of performance. I replaced it because the rubber on the on/off button wore through and it simply stopped working. I ordered that evening and the brush arrived the next day. The brush heads are quite expensive to replace with genuine heads, but after buying my first pack of 4 'compatible' heads, 2 failed to vibrate, none had the pressure sensor and the wear indicators didn't wear off at all! The brush head that comes with the unit is a bit too soft for my lking, but others may get on well with it. There is plenty of choice when t comes to replacements. Finally, the charging stand works by USB-A (big one) and I plug it into my laptop to charge. It beeps to tell you it is charging and there is a light indicator that tells you it is fully charged (around 24 hours from empty). All in, it is a powerful toothbrush that should last you for years and is recyclable at your local recycling centre.

Not Durable
I purchased this toothbrush in January 2025 and it has already completely stopped working (December 2025). Warranty is useless as you get a choice to return the handle OR the charger, not both. I have zero idea whether it is a charger issue (charger does not have lights to indicate is it is working or not) or a defective handle; I just know that it does not work. I will no longer purchase Philips products after being a life long customer as I has the same issue with a pair of sonic toothbrushes purchased in 2024. Both stopped working a few days after the year's warranty ended. I thought it was just bad luck; now I know it wasn't.
