I recently got hold of an old car without a modern stereo. This bluetooth cassette was put in a head-to-head with a bluetooth FM transmitter. It is an impressive piece of technology and I could see foresee a benefit of it over the FM transmitter, in that you wouldn’t get the occasional interference to your music/podcast when driving that comes from other radio signals nearby. However in my case I found using the tape deck there was a permanent white noise permeating anything I was listening to, and on balance the occasionally disrupted, but otherwise clean-sounding FM transmitter was the better compromise. In practical use with my FM transmitter many drives are completely disruption-free and when it does happen it’s only for a few seconds until things start moving again. It’s possible if you live in a busier place than I do and the radio disruption is a lot more frequent, the bluetooth cassette could suit you better.
