This is a great product with great value for the money you spend! I have purchased 3 sets of these - 1 for outdoor use at my home, and 2 for indoor use where I work. The two sets that I use on a display at work have worked great since they arrived! I love the amount of control I have over the colors and the brightness, and the different presets in the app are cool! The one I have outside was working great too, but about a month ago, one of the lights stopped working properly. At first it wouldn't turn on at all, then it WOULD turn on, but it would slowly and dimly flash random colors. I went onto the app, found the support page, and described the issue I was having. Within a day their customer service replied back in the app, asked for a video of the issue, and requested my shipping info to send me a replacement. Within hours of me sending the info, they replied that they were shipping out a new one! Upon further inspection of the cords after removing it from my yard, it looks like an animal chewed through the cord attached to the malfunctioning light. When I get the replacement lights that they send I will make sure to conceal the cords better so no pests get to them.

We have a collection of GoVee lights that have been incredible and never an issue. To add to our collection, we purchased the GoVee Flood Lights in April and immediately got started. As usual the setup was a breeze, our biggest issue was were to place the lights around the yard. Once all was set up we put the lights on a timer along with a few commands from Alexia. All went well until one day in June all the lights stopped working without warning. No amount of self-troubleshooting led us to the issue. We reached out to customer support and after 2 emails (1 initial and 1 follow-up for pictures) the GoVee Team advised they were sending a new shipment, the next day the new floodlights were on our doorstep! I cannot express how excellent the customer service was and how quickly they were to react. We are very pleased with the product and know that if there is a future problem that we can rely on the GoVee Customer Service Team to take care of us.

I have Goveee lights on the interior and exterior of my home. To be exact, I have 7 strip lights and 5 sets of flood lights on the exterior. Of all of those exterior lights, I have to replace the strips twice, and the flood lights 4-6 times. Govee would no longer replace my lights so I'm stuck with either a partially lit up house or spending more money that last about 6 months. Once the strip lights were replaced, they've been great. The flood lights however are a whole different story. They are not made for outdoors no matter how they are advertised. I have wrapped each light connection to keep water from getting in them although there is a rubber gasket installed to where that shouldn't be a problem. I've also spent an additional $15 on a waterproof container to house the plug and control unit outside as pictured and they still constantly fail. I am so disappointed because I love the idea of their products and would love to add more but the quality just isn't there and I can't trust the products to last. Update: Govee had sent me replacements for my lights but those lights didn't last very long. The light strip I have (7 of them on the exterior) are great but the flood lights (5 sets of 6) are all completely junk. All the flood lights have gone bad. Every single one of them. That is a lot of money tied up in this brand. They do not last and can not handle water exposure. I came back to Amazon to find alternatives for the Govee flood lights and figured I would update my review. I wish they could last because they look great when they do.

I originally bought the Govee Outdoor Flood Lights 2 for my house, but I ended up using them for stage lighting at an event, and they worked amazingly. The brightness and color control are genuinely impressive for a consumer-grade product. The Good: Stage-Quality Brightness: These are incredibly powerful! They provided a perfect, deep color wash for the stage that didn't look "washed out." Vibrant & Precise: The RGBIC technology is stunning. Being able to mix warm/cool whites with millions of colors meant I could get the perfect skin-tone-friendly light for performers. Built Like a Tank: With an IP66 rating, these feel very rugged. Excellent App Control: The Govee Home App makes it easy to sync to music or set custom scenes. Matter support is also a huge plus for smart home integration. The Bad: Individual Control Learning Curve: If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the app could make individual light control a little easier to access. It takes a few extra taps to isolate one specific light in a string, but once you get the hang of it, it works fine. The Verdict: Still five stars all the way! Whether you are using these for professional-looking stage washes or just to be the best-looking house on the block, these lights are a fantastic value. Super bright, very vibrant, and worth every penny.

It’s not bright as expected

I have been a fan of Govee products forever so when it came to holiday/landscape lights, I naturally started with them. I was looking for RGB lights that were easy to install, used a familiar app and could be controlled using smart home assistants. These fit the bill! The colors are bright, pairing to the Govee app is flawless and most importantly, the pre existing scenes are just perfect! I was up and running right in time for the holiday season. While the lights are fantastic, the customer service is where Govee takes it to the next level. Outside of Govee’s control, I had an issue with one of the wires and I reached out to them for advice. I was hoping to get some tips on resolving the issue which made the lights inoperable. Govee asked for some details, and immediate shipped a replacement box within 2-3 business days! WOW! I was just blown away. They were courteous, sympathetic towards my issue and very responsive. Special shoutout to Melinda from the Govee support team who handled my case. This is truly amazing - in spite of this being an issue that wasn’t caused by their product, they helped make it right. And in turn, gained a more loyal customer for life. I will always default to Govee when considering my lighting needs in the future. If you are looking for fantastic holiday lights or any kind of RGB lights, start with Govee. You can buy a light anywhere - consider who will stand behind their products if/when it fails. That is the differentiator with this company!!
