Does this help with VHF reception?

I purchased the RH77CA antenna to replace the original equipment "rubber duckie" antenna on a Grecom PSR 300 Scanning Receiver. The reception seems better, with transmissions heard from aircraft near our airport, 23 miles away. For the price, I am satisfied with this antenna.

Does this have a male or female bnc connector? Or in short, will it fit a Uniden BCD436HP?

Hello Cody, The BCD436HP has a SMA connector so the RH77CA would not work with the unit. The SRH77CA will fit the BCD436HP.Thank You!

Are any adapters or additional equipment necessary to use on a uniden bc75xlt in place of the stock antenna? sorry i am a beginner. thx.

The Diamond RH77CA is the best replacement antenna available for the BC75XLT. It has a male BNC type connector, which matches your scanner. No adapter needed.

I have a bc125at scanner and bought this antenna. i don't see how it will fit because it has a female connector. scanner has a two pin twist on. help.

This antenna should work just fine. The inside of the antenna has two notches on the edge, line those up with the notches on the scanner and twist it on.
