How many do you give them a day? Does weight matter?

Yes, it’s based on the dog’s weight, 10-29 is one a day, 30-59 two a day and 60 and over three a day initially. After the 4 to 6 week initial period of building up levels of Cosequin, everyone drops to one a day maintenance, although over 60 lbs can have 2 a day.

how long before they start to work?

My shihtzu did not like Cosequin. The smell is overwhelming.
