Naoki Matcha (Superior Ceremonial Blend, 100g / 3.5oz) - Authentic Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder Ceremonial Grade from Uji, Kyoto

I wanted to start drinking matcha instead of coffee and chatgpt recommended this brand. I read a lot about some Matcha’s being very bitter but I don’t find this a problem with this brand it all. It tastes delicious, has a nice texture and I’ve been drinking it with both hot water or making a latte with warm milk. I use one teaspoon as a serving size and I’m sure it said one pack is 15 servings but I found it has lasted longer than this for me. Great value for money. I was also worried when I saw the green powder that it could potentially stain things but it doesn’t and is very easy to clean if I spill any.

I'm not sure if this is ceremonial grade or not, but genuinely it taste so nutty and amazing, very refreshing and can be taken with no need to add sugars eg. In a matcha latte!

Delicious! I love this matcha! It has a lovely texture and blends well. I can’t give a comment really on smell as I really don’t like the smell of any matcha while I’m whisking it! I particularly love it in an iced coconut milk latte with a little agave.

For the price point this matcha is of impressive quality, it is good value for money. I’m an avid matcha drinker and I would recommend this powder. It has a slight nutty aftertaste so I like to pair it with almond milk instead of oat milk to enhance the flavour profile. The powder has a bright green colour which suggests it is high quality matcha. It tastes fresh and it isn’t bitter at all. My only complaint is that it is a little bit grainy so I recommend whisking it for longer and using a sieve for the powder to counteract this. Overall very impressed with this matcha powder!

Yame blend is much nicer. I thought I would try this one as the yame is currently sold out. This tastes very powdery/chalky and is slightly more yellow than green compared to the yame blend which is sweeter and smoother.

Only just discovered matcha. Wanted a cheaper alternative than keep buying from coffee shops. This is perfect, has a lovely smooth taste and obviously has good properties to it as it definitely works as a duretic as I can’t keep off the loo afterwards. Will definitely purchase again.

This was my first time buying matcha to make at home after spending ages reading reviews and suggestions—and I’m so glad I chose this one! The quality is amazing, it mixes smoothly, and the taste is rich without being bitter. I’ve been loving it in my iced lattes, and it’s quickly become a part of my daily routine. So happy with this purchase and will definitely be ordering again!

This stuff is smooth. No hint of bitterness in sight. Its so smooth I actually preferred to mix it 50/50 with Jade Leaf in my Matcha lattes. Its just amazing Matcha.. so good I started occasionally drinking it by itself not as a latte... the flavors present in just the tea (no milk, no sugar, etc) is insane. Umami, savory, very minimal mineral/bitter tastes. So if you like mineral tasting matcha, try Dens tea Restaurant Matcha... it has a very strong mineraly taste. This is almost the opposte. One thing to note, this stuff is so smooth and lacks bitterness that I actually have to use 3.5g instead of 3g like I do with Jade leaf... but once you get the strength dialed in it is MINT. I personally dont care about any clumping etc because I whisk my matcha with an electric frother in about 2 oz of water before adding milk or anything else.. even the matcha i had in my fridge which got clumpy from condensation didtn stand a chance... so if you ever have lumpy matcha.. its your fault, not the matchas fault. FYI. I dont mind the Jade leaf at all (for lattes)... in fact I wil gladly use it if its on sale.. but this is objectively the better matcha. If you plan to drink by itself, dont even consider jade leaf.. I am speaking specifically for lattes... Naoki is the only one you want to drink straight. But if you are a latte person.. either one is good quality and a buy again from me.

It’s pretty good but not the best

After my Japan trip last year, I became a Matcha lover. Bought a few different brands, Naoki is the best and is my favorite. Taste fresh, smooth and love the bright green color. I drink Matcha latte everyday. Also whenever my friends come over, I would make one for them to show off my Matcha making skills. They love it as much as I do.
