Great little bin for the kitchen
I wanted a little compost scrap bin to put on the kitchen counter next to my sink that was big enough I don't have to go dump it every time I am chopping up veggies, but not so big that it's an eye sore. This is about the size of a gallon milk jug, but far far cuter. The pull out bin makes it easy and convenient to go dump in the outside compost and I haven't had any experiences where it smelled. The air filter must work pretty well since even with onion clippings I don't smell anything when the lid is on. I dump it right now probably every three days or when it gets full. It did have a few little scratches on it when I got it out of the box, which was disappointing but it wasn't bad enough for me to return it. Overall it is really cute, clear what it is and a great size.

Cute and Functional
I'm just getting into composting for my garden. I wanted a cute bin for my kitchen, and this fit the bill! It is a bit on the small side, but that is fine, I'll be in a good habit of emptying it out every 1-2 days. So far it looks great, and is functional. No issue with smells, and yes the lid does fit on loosely, no seal. You are meant to empty this every 1-2 days, so as long as you stick to that I don't think you'll have any odor issues. The plastic bucket/liner that sits on the inside is easy to clean. It is not a true bright white, but more of a creamy white.

Perfect size, easy to use and looks great on counter.
Love the size for my counter top. Design is nice. Can get lid off with one hand which was important to me. Haven't noticed any smell. Filter got a little yucky and was easily cleaned. Used the spare filter while the cleaned one dried. I like that you can lift the inner bucket out to dump. It's easy to clean. One negative is the the bucket handle has some rust starting where it connects to the bucket. Not a huge concern. Can scrub with steel wool and put a rust preventative on.

Super cute, love the inside bucket that lifts out but hand wash only.
It’s small, perfect for just 2 people and very cute. I wanted a kitchen compost bin that was double-walled and this one is. The little black bucket pops out for easy carrying and dumping into the outdoor compost. Only downfall is that it is hand-wash only so I can’t stick it in the dishwasher when it gets icky. I have to DEAL with it. Besides that, it’s working really great so far. I fill it up every 2-3 days and there has been so smell that I’ve noticed so far. The top sits loosely on top for easy one-handed lifting which is great, unlike my parents’ which sometimes gets stuck.

Simple and effective
I couldn't be happier with this little compost bucket. The plastic liner insert makes it super easy to dump food and cooking scraps right into my greenwaste bin and quickly rinse without feeling like I have to clean the whole bucket every time. It looks super cute and homey, way better than the stainless steel ones, and I like that it's a small countertop size. I dump it out every day or two (I cook a lot) and clean the plastic liner with bleach and leave it empty if I'm gone for a few days or over the weekend. Works great and was just cheap enough.

Lightweight, easy to remove contents, perfect size and filter replaced easily.
I have pondered having a compost bin for my kitchen for years. Now that I have a garden I began a serious search for one. While I was attracted to the slick look of stainless steel I read reviews and features for all the bins and was sold on this one. I especially like the inner bucket as it is easy to carry, my outdoor compost bin is a block away, and cleans up easily. The filter is easy to remove/replace, lid is not tight fit thus preventing anaerobic growth. The size of the bin is perfect and easy to reach for discards. The only thing I would add is the word "Vegetarian" to COMPOST on the bin as a reminder to my spouse that no meat or dairy enter the compost bin. 😉

The lid needs some... adjustments.
First of all, I do like this little bin. Not love, I wouldn't propose to it, or ask to be my date to a formal event, but we get on okay. It is perfect for my counter top, so would I recommend this? Yes, I would. It's small, cute, and reliable. However I do have a few issues with it's design. 1.) From day one the lid never sat on correctly. Even with the bucket liner inside of the tin, it never fit correctly. If you take out the plastic tub, it will absolutely never go on perfect.... UNLESSS you add a seal to the lid around the inside of the rim. You can do this with plumbers caulk, OR hot glue. 🔥 Do it up. Right around the inside rim of the lid. Do it. Rim that dirty bucket. 2.) The filter in the lid is a great place... for flies to lay eggs. I'm not sure how they accomplished this and I'm pretty sure this is not working as intended. The filter in the lid of my tin turned into a fly orgy. I digress... 3.) The bucket that is inserted into the tin broke after a month. I dropped it once and it was game over. 👎 So f*&$!!! I still haven't found a replacement, but again, I haven't looked very hard either. I've got other things to do, like turn my compost pile, and gaze out upon the corn fields. 🌽 4.) I'm 87% sure the bottom leaks. I can't be completely sure and more research is required. Either myself or my 13 year old might just be an overly aggressive dish washer and perhaps we are splashing water underneath the tin. This would of course require behavior training on our part and not be a defect with the tin... However, everytime I have lifted this thing up it is •moist• underneath. Did I just make you cringe? Good, cause it nasty. Anyway, thus has been my experience. Happy Composting.

Cute bucket makes composting easy!
This compost bucket is so cute that it makes composting enjoyable. I use backyard compost bags to line the inner black bucket and every Sunday I dump the contents from the black bucket into my outdoor worm bin. I do a quick wash and dry of the black bucket if needed and then line it with another bag. The lid is heavy and comes with a charcoal filter and I have not had any problems with bugs/smells or bucket rust. The items I compost in this bucket are vegetable trimmings, ripped up paper bags, and coffee grounds. I do not typically add fruit to this bin.
