Words from a 50+ year gardener.
I've purchased this 4 times and have found it to be very thin each time. The price is right making it a great value, and so little is needed that it goes a long way. I've always had good results using this product in combination with my other favorite fertilizers. I never use it inside due to the nasty odor. Other organic fish emulsion fertilizers have been much thicker. My personal preference at this time is natural caught Salmon emulsion. Whichever type of fish emulsion you prefer, try making a rainwater "tea". I add a small amount of fish emulsion, kelp emulsion, and Texas Tomato Food fertilizer (by Urban Farm Fertilizers). I experience vigorous growth on very healthy sturdy plants that produce abundant vegetables. Ocean nutrients are very effective for making my vegetable plants and fig trees outproduce my gardens of the past . I try to feed my garden weekly, then water it in to remove any odor or use it just before it rains. Tap water that might contain chlorine should be allowed to sit for a day or so to allow the chlorine to evaporate. Saved rainwater is best for growing plants, followed by well water. Dry kelp extract is fantastic for growing plants. I save an old gallon jug to mix and store it in water. My best advice is to mulch heavily between plants and rows to avoid those summertime weeds that quickly grow bigger than your plants. You will greatly appreciate having fewer weeds and a beautiful garden. Don't use hay as it may increase the number of weeds. It can also contain weed killer chemicals that can kill a garden. Teach a child to grow plants. My best wishes for you gardening success! People might just ask you how you did it!

Used this for years!
I have been an organic gardener since 1970 and I have always used fish emulsion as a fertalizer. This is a good brand, I've used it a few times now. When you use it, it IS malodorous, but the smell does not linger, it goes away quickly, so don't be afraid of the fish smell. The plants LOVE it!

Appreciate the NPK formation of 3-2-1
Instead of the usual 5-1-1 fish emulsion NPK ratio, I wanted to try this one for less nitrogen. My soil tends to run high in nitrogen and with this product the NPK is 3-2-1 which offers more phosphorous for blooms/fruiting. The price was good at time of purchase, and I've used it a couple times in the Fall. Results were quite good. I might get this particular product on a more regular basis if the price remains reasonable. Keep in mind, although product is called an emulation, it is NOT thick like molasses and does not cling to the inside of the plastic container it comes in.

It works
Stinks! This is good because it’s supposed to stink, my plants love this stuff! I like that it is higher in phosphorus than many fish emulsions that tend towards a higher nitrogen level

Great nutrition for the plants
This is the only fertilizer I use for my garden and trees. My garden thanks me with vibrant colors and great growth rate. The trees are doing so well. No disease just great growth!
