BABEYOND Women's Flapper Dresses 1920s V Neck Beaded Fringed Great Gatsby Dress

I am a person who relies on the reviews of others to make a more precise decision on my Amazon purchases. So thanks to everyone who takes the time to do so 🙌🏻 In the case of this dress I was undecided on the size. The chart suggested I should wear a small and the reviews were mixed on the sizing (some suggested M and others S) so I bought the 2 sizes just to try them both and then decide. For reference I’m 5’9”, I weight around 145 and 150 pounds and my bra size is 34C. I kept it in a small and it fit perfectly well as you can see in the video. The pictures in the sellers description page don’t do the dress justice. It is more beautiful in person. The quality is very nice and it doesn’t itch at all so it is made of a good quality material. For the price you are paying you expect more of a party city type of custom but this exceeded my expectations so far. It hold nice during my event and I dance almost the whole night. It just lost a couple of fringes here and there. Just be cautious when you are going to wash it because it may discolor a bit. I washed it by hand and hanged it up to dry. For size in my personal experience follow the size suggested by the seller’s chart. I do recommend this product 300%. Shipping was fast and it came well packaged.

I originally ordered another dress, without fringe, by Babeyond (which cost $23). I changed my mind and decided I wanted one with fringe as it was for a Party Like Gatsby event. It was so much to fun to feel the fringe moving as I danced so I'm really glad I ordered this dress, even though it was higher priced at $40. I read tons of reviews and decided to order this in size medium because I wanted a slightly looser fit. For reference, I'm 5'4", 125 lbs and usually wear a size 4 or small. The first dress I ordered was also a medium and did fit slightly loose, so I thought this would be the same. Even though both dresses were by Babeyond, I would say this dress runs on the small side. Unfortunately, it was not loose, but instead fit just right. I have a slight stomach pooch and had to remember to "suck it in" so I think I would have been uncomfortable in a small. Although the inner slip is stretchy, the dress overlay is not and the slip is only attached to the bottom of the dress on the sides. There is a little give to the dress if you have a larger chest. The dress survived a night of dancing and activity very well. In lieu of a bra, I usually wear a camisole with a shelf bra. I wore the camisole with a pair of very short spandex shorts so I felt very comfortable under the dress. I did notice a loose thread when I took the dress off, but nothing broke off and otherwise it was fine. There is a side zipper and it slips easily over your head. The only "issue" might be going to the ladies room because of the fringe. Just be extra careful and check the back of the dress in the mirror as the fringe and slip can easily get caught up. The dress comes in a zippered bag so it can be easily stored. Also, this was a very popular dress. I saw multiple women in the same dress. FYI, I wore a pair of long black gloves, which really added to the look, but eventually took them off as I got tired of putting them on and taking then off because they were not cell phone friendly!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was really impressed with the quality of this dress. It exceeded my expectations for the price. The lining is a cheaper fabric but the top layer had a surprising amount of beading. I am 5'3" 120lbs and normally wear a size 4. The small size fit perfectly. The lining hit a little above the knee and the fringe hung below. I got SO many compliments in this dress and it was perfect for a 1920s-themed party. And it was comfortable to wear all night long.

I’m 5’7” 38-29-38 145 lbs 34DD and usually wear mediums. I’m glad I read the reviews and ordered up one size. The Large fit well, with not much extra stretch left in the top once zipped up. I wore this to a 1920’s Gangsters and Dolls themed party and got so many compliments all night. I was running around, crouching down, and even sitting on the floor with a pro camera in my hands taking photos of the event and not really trying to be gentle with the dress. It’s really well-made and sturdy. It held up extremely well, despite the intricate beading being so elegant. The long fringe at the bottom stayed intact, with only one string coming off as far as I’m aware. There’s a little bit more glimmer of green in the black/gold version. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but I will say that I didn’t notice this green hint in the photos as much as I noticed it in IRL.

This dress is officially my favorite “dressy” dress! It is so flattering, it’s elegant and classy(modest) yet so sexy. And you cannot beat the price! It doesn’t stretch, since it’s fully beaded, so I ordered the size according to the biggest area on my body (bust). I was afraid it would be too big, but it just fell naturally, moving with my body. My mother used some safety pins on the inside of the dress to tailor it in at the waist a little for me, because I wanted it a tad more fitted there. I wore it in Las Vegas with my hubby, on our “fancy” or dressy night out. I am also wearing a black sheer shawl with beads & sequins that matched the dress perfectly, I bought it separately. (⭐️I’m holding my shoes in the one photo I’m in, because that was the end of the night back at the hotel, and those shoes are the devil! But that’s another review…) In a couple of pics the sequins look blueish, but I think they just caught some light, nothing looked blue when I wore it. It’s all black. I received SO many compliments on my dress all night, I felt like a movie star! I want one in every color now. Love it, highly recommend! -Mrs. Mack

This Babeyond flapper dress is really beautiful. The combination of dark red, black, and lots of golden sequins makes for a very bright, yet regal look, and the cut is very flattering. The tassels at the bottom "shed" a tiny bit, but overall, it is a well-made dress at a really good price.

A tat large under the arms, but with a short black shoulder throw it will do. Quality is great, it's comfortable, and the deep red wine color is amazing, not to bright, stands out, without being a beacon of attention. Doesn't expose those extra pounds :).

Nice quality dress for the price! The beading and and fringe details were nice and this is truly a nice quality dress, which I wasn't expecting for the price of it. I ordered a few dresses to try and the only reason I chose to return this one was I wanted something a little less costume and more elegant. I thought the gold sequins were a little too gold/ orange and made the dress look cheaper and more costume in person. I think if they were a champagne gold it would have been beautiful. Although it did photograph well and look great on, I will be returning since I found something I like better. I ordered my size, a medium after reading other reviews and it fit very well. I prefer a fitted look for my small, curvy figure but if you want more of a looser look, then maybe order a size up. I will leave my measurements to help others decide their size. I am a 40 bust /32 G, 34 waist , 42 hips

Enfin une robe à la fois adaptée à ma morphologie, un bon 46 et un 100F à placer, et tout à la fois extrêmement soignée dans ses finitions. Le tissu est lourd et semble de qualité. Je l'ai achetée pour une soirée années folles, mais je pense que je pourrais la remettre facilement pour des soirées plus classiques tant elle fait son petit effet. Je recommande vivement, surtout que la livraison fut très rapide.

Also dieses Kleid war nicht für mich, sondern ein Weihnachtsgeschenk an meine Schwägerin. Da sie für Silvester noch was sucht fiel mir das auf. FARBE: so wie auf dem Bild QUALITÄT: man kann nicht meckern. Noch ist nix abgefallen oder kam mit Fehlern an. GRÖßE: Sie hat genau die Maße wie bei einer S und ich hatte Sorge das es ihr an der Hüfte nicht passt aber es war ideal. Nicht zu eng nicht zu locker. FAZIT: das Kleid ist vom Stil echt schön und coraööem grün ist der Hammer. Rot bestimmt auch aber sie hat grüne Augen und braunes Haar, da passt grün am besten. Sie hatte schon alles was zum Kleid dazu gehört und nun ist das Kleid da. Bin für Silvester gespannt wie sie aussieht aber die 30er sagen immer toll aus. Das Kleid wieg4 an sich auch ganz schön was so den Eindruck macht das es schon was viel mehr wert ist. Danke für das Kleid :-)
