I did not realize that no UV light or blacklight I've ever owned has not done what this light does (I did not know what I was missing out on). Most UV/blacklights put out 90% of their light as visible light (outside the UV range) and is actually not helpful unless your just looking for halloweed fun. Yes they all cause some general florescence on things which even blue light can do which is far outside UV. Most of those household lights called "blacklights" even in the old days, put out mostly purple light (above 400nm). Even a cheap UV LED flashlight I have from about 10 years ago puts out only maybe 10% UV and the rest is just purple. So most of that power is just wasted. This light with it's UV filter puts out well over 95% of its light OTF as UV. Which makes you see everything that just about any other non-filtered light won't show you. Or at least no where near as well. Its surprisingly a great quality build all around for the price with a ramp-up ramp-down dimming function too. Feels good in the hand and does not seem cheaply made at all. I will buy another because its such a good value. It shines far and is also usable UV at a far distance. Its the perfect size and power output for just about any task or hobby because it's small enough to be pocket portable . You really don't need anything bigger or brighter. It has a large lithium battery. It does not get too warm at full power either. I love that you can charge it via usb-c instead of needing to remove the battery.

Very bright, so bright that its like a handheld tanning bed. You can even feel the heat coming off the lens. Works as it should. The glasses also work well to protect your eyes.

Light is super bright! It illuminates all my uranium, cadmium, and manganese glass very well. It’s a little bigger than I was expecting but I didn’t check the size so that’s on me. Seems sturdy and well made, the battery compartment in the back screws in and out to hold the battery (I should mention, battery is included! Woo hoo!)

First off, I'll start with a SAFETY Warning: make sure everyone within range or in the same room of this UV light is wearing UV guard glasses, and I mean everyone! This light can ruin a person's eyes if proper precaution is not taken. And DO NOT look directly into the lens to see if its working. Now, I've had this thing for a while now and it works awesomely and will light up any bacteria you missed in your household cleaning regiment. It also works great for identifying florescent compounds in rocks and makes spider and scorpion eyes glow in the dark. They make a more powerful version of this light but I feel this one is plenty powerful enough. I would recommend purchasing better quality UV Glasses. This is a great buy.
