Happy I bought it
Review of Gosky 2019 updated newest spotting scope that came with canon dslr and iPhone adapter. I bought the scope to shoot a few eagle nest and screech owl that I know location of. I saw a guy with this scope and he was able to reach all the way into the tree while where the screech owl was located with his iPhone than I could with $3000 camera and 100-400 mm sigma lens. The review below is for those interested in shooting the moon. I haven’t tested it out for birds but expect the same issues. The photos and videos I posted of the moon were all shot on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. See pics and videos I attached. It was extremely windy yesterday and I used a light tripod so I think the pics and video could have been sharper. This morning I realized that I had a old fotodiox adapter I used to attach my canon lenses so that I could use it with my Sony A7ii camera. I had no issues attaching the fotodiox adapter to my Sony A7iii and the included canon dslr attachment to the scope so now I can use all 3 of my cameras. I have not taken any shots of the moon with dslr or Sony camera. It was a nightmare due to the weight of the camera body and trying to find the moon while scope was in vertical position. The moon was way up in the sky. It was so easier with the iPhone since the iPhone was lighter so my tripod didn’t shake much and it it automatically focused the moon most of the time and was better quality. I shot the pics in raw in my camera and video in 60 frames a second.I did not edit or crop any of the pics or video. These are straight out of my iPhone. Yup it got that close to the moon. I had to zoom in on phone not to get the vignette.Cons: you need to be patient shooting moon. It takes time trying to find the moon on a tiny whole of the scope.Weight balance of dslr or Sony camera will cause a shaky video if you don’t have a sturdy tripod and ball head. . So use a sturdy tripod with a pan handle since earth rotates so you will need to slowly move the tripod ball head to line up the moon. To much movement and your back to being frustrated cause you need to find the moon again.Pros: worth the priceFeel like a kid when you see how far it can reachWant to keep exploring moreWant to travel with it everywhere I go just in case you want to know what is that way out thereClear picture during the dayMaybe easier shooting still subjects like eagle nest.I plan on lining up the full moon with Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty with this scope to compare the ones I already shot with my Sony A7iiiIf you have any questions contact me on Instagram Musicman33us

I'm a happy camper! :) works great for me.
Quite happy. Right from next day delivery and right of the box. I was feeling good. I only used is a little bit so far and never used a spotting scope before but this was pretty easy to figure out, set up and use. The magnification is really good for me. I could just about count all the craters on a 1/4 moon last night. I bought it mainly for crossbow target practice. So if I can see all the holes in the moon which looked like a pinky finger nail clipping to the naked eye, I'm sure it will do fine for target spotting. I have a Galaxy note 10 phone and it fits fine on the phone mount. It's takes a few times to set it up just right but it definitely works. Because the scope is already magnified to start and a long lens it takes practice to find the object even at lowest zoom but once you lock in and zoom in on it slowly and adjust slowly it's like "Wow"!Fact: I would definitely buy this if I hadn't already. I did my research on them. And this was one of the high rated ones especially for the price and quality. The tripod is nothing to brag about but it dose the job for a table top target spotting scope. You don't move it often once it's set. For bird and wild life you will need a good fluid head tripod made for real cameras and long lenses. The one it comes with is usable to start but it's not smooth so it's hard to lock in on the object. It's not the scope, it's the tripod. Again if I lost this scope I would have to go buy another one for what it's worth to me. Also be sure to read all the instructions and register your warranty. I'm a happy camper so far.

Price over quality is well worth
The scope is of moderate quality, not heavy and is possible to get crisp focusing. The digi adapter works fine with iPhone Xs Max. at 20X, the scope is really sharp and bright, I like to use that to locate and zoom with phone for photo. At 60x will be a slight challenge to focus, a good steady tripod may help especially with phone focus hunting. The provided tripod is of good build but lacks quality control, improve by removing the screws for pan and tilt axis and clean off the applied grease. Sand smooth the coupling surfaces with high grits and oil. Now the tripod is able to pan and tilt smoothly and a joy to use.Overall, it's a good bundle with the accessories and scope and I'm very pleased.

Great scope for wildlife viewing
This item was purchased for a trip to Yellowstone National Park and boy was it worth the investment.Having a scope can be the difference between an uneventful hike and an amazing day of wildlife viewing.I was able to view 4 grizzly bears on my hike and wouldn't have seen them without the scope. They were probably half a mile or more away and the view is crystal clear at the eyepiece. I was able to connect it to my DSLR camera and my smartphone. The smartphone had a better resulting photo but nowhere near as clear as viewing through the eyepiece with the naked eye.We spotted a male grizzly bear off in the distance that we would have never seen and we not stopped to take a look around. We were also able to spot a female with her Cubs at the top of a mountain.if you are thinking of making a purchase to enhance for wildlife viewing I would highly recommend this product. It was extremely lightweight and was able to pack it with my camera gear in my carry-on bags for my flights. I had people with expensive long lenses asking if they could look through my scope.

Decent value
Poor clarity at max zoom. Barely adequate as a spotting scope. If your scope will see frequent use it would probably be smarter to spend more money and buy a better one.

Excellent zoom capability, pretty good optics
Bought this for a trip to Yellowstone (got there 2 days BEFORE the flood...) and used it to spot bison, elk, eagle, and pronghorn. To be fair, Yellowstone makes this easy... We just drove to Lamar valley, stopped along the road side and pointed this thing at any patch of earth, and BOOM - Bison! What this product does is make it very easy to see the animals off in the distance, beyond what the naked eye can see. I never snapped pictures of them through the scope because I was enjoying just watching their behaviors. The attached images show the capability of the scope. The first image is a test setup using the phone mount that comes with the scope. The camera is pointed at some school artwork that was 45 feet away (measured with tape measure, see red circled area and red arrow pointing to it). This artwork is where the kids glued pennies to the paper and drew something around them. As you can see in the second photo, I was able to put this on full zoom and you can clearly read the "One Cent" text on the penny from that distance! The third image is a shot of the moon (more difficult - It moves!) and you can clearly see the craters and features, but not SUPER clear. I think better optics would be needed for that, but this is not a telescope, so I was not upset by that.I got several comments from others in Yellowstone about what I was able to see - They were impressed that I was calling out what was out in the field - They couldn't see the animals with the naked eye.

Amazing Scope - Must Buy!!!
This thing is amazing!!!!! I wanted something to look at the moon from time to time and also view some surrounding nature. This scope was it!! Super simple to use and the camera attachment was impressive. I was able to take a picture of the pink moon in April 2021 (see photo) with my iPhone 11 using the included attachment and it was amazing. The quality and material of the lenses are second to none. When you grab this scope the touch, feel and weight far exceeds this price point. The scope comes with a nice carry bag, DLR camera and iPhone attachments. The included tripod stand is solid as well but it is short about a 1’-0” to 1’-6” off of the ground so if you want to view higher points without bending down or laying on the ground you would need to prop this up on a table, etc. This is expected as it is a travel scope. I recommend purchasing a taller tripod which is what i plan to do but overall for what you get its totally worth it. I will close with this...this is NOT a telescope so if you are purchasing this for that reason then this scope is not for you. If you occasionally want to view the moon and surroundings then this is the scope for you!!!

Decent but with flaws
Ok so this product is good for the price you pay. It does not feel like a cheap toy and the 80mm objective lense lets plenty of light pour in. The focus knob is silky smooth. The clarity is nowhere near the $500 Athlon Ares scope you can get but, what I did enjoy is that the chromatic abberation was suppressed, although present it was minimal, I will attach a pic of what CA is below. My gripes are that it is extremely large 2x as big as the Emarth scope and the tripod mount threads are plastic... Like really GoSky, couldn't go out of your way to spend a few more cents to include metal threads. In conlusion, it is a nice scope with decent clarity for the money however the tripod and the mounting plate are utter trash.
