Does this card require any additional power aside from what is provided by the motherboard

Just to clarify, only the STRIX cards require 6-pin power, the others (phoenix, dual) do not require any. It looks like amazon lumped all these asus 1050ti cards together and they share the same reviews and q&a

Is this a low profile graphics card?

I have the single-fan version and it is a full-height card; I feel sure the dual-fan card is as well.

Is this better than the msi computer v809-2277r video card (gtx 1050 ti 4gt oc)

Basically there the same... however they moved away from analog output in the gtx 10 series so you’ll need a activate vga to DisplayPort or just use a hdmi compatible monitor or tv!!!

so would the 1050ti be a better upgrade from a gtx 950 or would a gtx 1060 3gb be better?

I never tested both options - I upgraded directly from GTX 750Ti - and I find the 1050Ti the best buy the Money can get for gaming.
