Don’t go down the Amazon without it
Pretty cool cap, especially tiki, will last at least 2-3 trips down there Amazon or a voyage to Tahiti

It's alright.
Nothing fancy about it. Flimsy material. Little small for my average sized noggin. Can't get my head all the way in without it ballooning up. Cool hat though.

The hat is basically a costume hat and as such it is not constructed to be durable. It is definitely not waterproof which makes unsuitable for use in a marine type environment. However, it is of a better quality construction for a costume hat. The hat is fitted and is not adjustable. I wear a 7 1/2 and it fits well, not too loose or too tight. The hat does look nice and is a somewhat accurate representation of the hats worn by Dewayne Johnson and Bogart for instance. All in all, recognizing the limitations of the hat, I think it is a good value, and a step up from the typical captain hats with the snap back style size adjustment. If you are looking for a hat to actually wear in a boating environment, look elsewhere.

Nice but flimsy
Silly me I thought “drawstring closure” meant I could adjust it. Nope. Well it fits and as another reviewer mentioned I can wear it the next time my wife and I watch African Queen.
