Sharp blade, fits nicely in hand.
The lightweight pairing knife has been easy to use and has held up with no signs of rust after daily use for two months. The sheath is a nice touch making it easy for transport but it is looser than expected so I keep mine in sealed bag as an added safety measure. It’s stylish compared to other similar knives on the market.

Cheap Slicy Knock-Around Kitchen Knife
Ten bucks gets you a thin little utility knife to beat on around the kitchen. This reminds me of the cheap mass produced Japanese knives you used to see in the 60's and 70's that made Americans complain endlessly about their manf. quality when Japanese quality was the Chinese quality we see today. It's not real sharp out of the package, but I fixed that by putting a great15° edge on it. I let the kids use this but it's a great knife to open plastic and do some quick slicing for me. It's straight, I love the little sheath, and I find it much better than the $40 dollar KAI that I bought a few months back which was NOT straight and has a cheap plastic handle. Don't leave it in a sink or beat it. Strop it with a good 1 micron leather strop to maintain it. If you beat it up, do you care? You paid $10 dollars for it. Looks like it could be picked up for $5 dollars at a dollar store. But it is decent when you put an edge on it. It will dull, so just make sure you can sharpen it and you can use it until someone craters it, then buy another or something expensive you don't want anyone to touch.

Quality for the price
Good quality for the price, super sharp. I use it only as letter opener. Keep in mind this isn't a Wusthof or Zwilling but I like it for the price, really sharp. The thing I like most is the wooden sheath that comes with it.

Awesome little thing
Super sharp, super light weight. Mostly use it for small fruit and utility. Work in a high pace kitchen, lots of bouncing around and overseeing others. With the saya it can go in my pocket, ever at the ready in the kitchen, easier than carrying my utility.

Super Sharp!
Very sharp! VERY SHARP! Cuts and slices great because it is super sharp. Sheath is great to protect the blade during storage.

Handle is NOT for the left handed.
decent little knife. nice blade shape, very sharp, and i appreciate the sheath at this pricepoint…however, the listing failed to mention or show the handle shape, which is NOT round but a “D shape” contoured for right handed use. had to return the knife because the handle is rather uncomfortable to use left handed.

This never ends up in the knife drawer.
This knife is used all the time, multiple times a day. It's sharp, an agile cutter, handy beyond belief and is a bargain. I went through an extended period in my life where I believed that the finest Japanese knives contributed to my rep as an excellent cook. Great amounts of money was spent on a finely curated collection. When I cooked for groups it made me feel that the lengthy work just flowed by. Sadly, in these same groups there were a few who liked my knives more than I did, if you get my drift. After a time, accidental damage to the knives or just redundancy left a number of them sidelines. Now I'm older and wiser. I prep a lot of food now for my dogs and I needed something that was good and easily replaceable. I've also purchased these as gifts. Give it a try. You might surprise yourself with a great bargain.
