can squirrels chew into this box?

We have squirrels in our yard but they don't bother with the deck box. The deck box is thick hard plastic. I don't know if the squirrels can chew through the plastic or not, but they haven't yet and we've had the deck box for 2 years.

What model number is this? the pictures show two different lids. looking for ss500j, which is the main picture here.

Has anyone had issues with getting the bottom on? any tips? no matter what i do, i can't get it to click into place.

I didn't use the bottom because I'm using it as a cover for my well in my front yard. It fits just right over it and I put a plant on it. Looks great. You could have the bottom from mine if you want to pay to mail it to you.
