Ready Seal Exterior Wood Stain & Sealer, Golden Pine, 5 Gallon

It went on easily and penetrated completely, dries as advertised, very pleased with the result on my deck!

Both of the 5 gallon cans arrived quickly and only one of the cans was dented. But, no leaks. Both of the boxed they were shipped in were tore up though. The Ready Seal is great and I like the look of the Golden Pine is lighter and makes my deck look beautiful. This is the second deck I have refinished this year. Used the Light Oak on the first deck and it is slighly darker than the Golden Pine. I do like the look of both. Cannot speak to the longevity but applying it is easy and it drys quickly.

I had just replaced my wooden rail with a classy stainless steel cable setup - which unfortunately made my 2X6 decking look a little tired. They had grayed up over the past 5 years as wood will do when exposed to lots of sun. I didn't notice it so much with the old rail system, but it really stood out with the new cable rail. I did a lot of research online and got the typical 1000 to the left, 1000 to the right, and some in between regarding the best deck stains/preservatives. Luckily, about the same time my wife and I visited a local state park that had some extensive decking atop a bluff at a scenic overlook. Their decking looked awesome, and considering all the foot traffic at the site seemed to be holding out very well. This product is what was used - opinion-less proof of a quality product. As my deck had never been treated, I gave it a good washing with bleach and a little JoMax and then applied the ready seal. An incredibly easy application - goes on like spreading water - and the results were and still are simply astounding. Would and will use again when needed.

I love my deck and my porch again. The stain was great. Easy to use and beautiful to look at when finished. My only complaint is, that it is not five gallons. The first five gallon batch that I received was really four and a quarter gallons. The second one I received was four and a half gallons. I feel like if I pay for a total of ten gallons I should get ten gallons

I have never stained anything in my life. The process of staining a newly replaced 750 sq ft deck was daunting and initimidating to say the least. I'm SO glad I chose this product! This brand came recommended to me by two deck contractors. I could not have asked for a better result. Our new deck was built about 5 months ago, so we did allow some time for it to "season". The wood soaked this stain up nicely. I was worried about it drying too fast and having a lot of overlap, but it turned out to not be an issue at all. While it did dry quickly, we didn't show any overlap or lighter/darker areas. What spots we do have were due to portions of the wood being covered and not drying sufficiently since being built. The golden pine color came out just a touch darker than I imagined it, but we are very happy with it. We used a standard paint sprayer to paint some railing and stairs with no problems. A car wash brush and a bucket was all that was used for the rest and it worked out great. I'm interested to see how many years I can get out of this stain. The stain itself is not thick and the bucket it comes in is very user friendly with a pour spout. Cleans up easily with mineral spirits. I will definitely purchase again!

I got this to stain and seal my 6 month old treated wood fence. Used a 2 gal. pump sprayer and added a cup of mineral spirits to each 2 gal and it worked great. Cleaned sprayer with mineral spirits after each use and it worked great. Wood just soaks it up and no runs even though it kind of looks like there may be some when I first applied. Very happy with results. Can't really attest to longevity at this point as it has only been a few days.

AMAZON FAILED SEVERAL TIMES I absolutely love the product, if only Amazon could actually deliver it without damaging it. I’ve had to order two of these buckets only to be refunded involuntarily because Amazon can’t seem to figure out how to ship it properly. I’ve been waiting two weeks and still nothing.

I have purchased this product twice from Amazon due to product not available at a retail store near me. I applied with a sprayer and it seemed to go on ok but it doesn't go very far. Product is very thin and would probably be more consistent color if it were shaken up, but it's a 5 gallon bucket so that is nearly impossible. I applied it in the fall and while the color seems to look ok and didn't fade much over the winter, I can't say it seemed to really seal the wood fence or protect the wood very well. I purchased again because it all needs to match. Both times I have received this item, the product has come damaged. First time the stain wasn't even in a box and leaked on my front porch. The most recent time it came damaged due to poor packaging and the can won't sit upright, making it difficult to use.
