Great pans, but the lid handles are VERY hard to install!!
This is really a 4.5 star review! I very much like these pans, they work well and are non-stick with the exception of eggs, but I expected that. I have a specific pan for eggs without the pattern that they tend to stick to. Anyway, the pans feel solid and well made and have made some lovely meals. The ONLY reason I would knock off half a star is because the lid handles are horrendously difficult to install!! I had to use a drill with a phillips bit, I know sketchy on a glass lid, but there is no way a regular screw driver will work to get these installed. I almost returned them but then used the drill and managed to get them attached. Other than that, I am very happy with them.

Holding up at 1 1/2 years
I have now had these for a year and a half. They will brown a steak pretty well. They are not as nonstick as brand new Teflon, and eggs will definitely stick if you don’t have oil in the pan, but they wash clean very easily, nothing is difficult to remove. Even if it looks like I burned something onto it, it washes clean. I pretty much always use metal utensils but I don’t use knives or forks or anything with a point. After a year and a half of using the metal utensils, I don’t see any scratching or peeling. I do hand wash them rather than putting them in the dishwasher.

Not nonstick - but as good as!
Nice little frypan. Perfect weight and size. Durable handle that doesn’t get too hot to hold when cooking. Included glass lid also has an angled handle that allows it to stay cool and easy to grip. All cookware should come with this type of lid handle! I also got this particular pan because it’s also induction capable even though it’s mostly used on a gas stove. I also like that you can use metal utensils as there’s no Teflon or other type of nonstick surface that would be ruined using metal utensils. BUT, it’s NOT nonstick as advertised. I’m ok with that though, just use oil etc. and put things in it after it’s hot. It’s a sturdy, perfectly weighted pan that has a nice appearance, especially the interior surface - nice design. I got the 8”, looking to purchase the full size frypan as well now too. Update: Works incredibly well, best skillet I've ever used. Even tho not totally nonstick, very easy to clean.

Detriment of Lid Handle Hight
The reason I only gave these excellent frying pans 4 stars is because the lid handles are too high. That hight prevents the lids to fit snuggly in the frying pan when inverted, i.e., unable to stack pans on top of each other to conserve storage space; they must be placed side by side. My solution was buying lower handles from a 3rd party vendor. Other than that problem these frying pans are excellent to use! Uniform pan heat, and Non-teflon anti-stick allow use of metal utensils.

In a word, excellent at first; now it is useless.
Original review below. This pan started out great, and lasted for a while as my go-to fryer. But now it has become useless. Overnight it went from a good non-stick frying pan to a full stick frying pan. Cannot cook without everything sticking to the pan. It still looks the same as the day I got it, no signs of wear, no coating degradation issues... It just doesn't work as a non- stick pan anymore. What an absolute let down, as this was so nice and easy to use, now I don't think I can use it for anything. Not sure about a warranty, but I will have to look around. So I waited several months to write this review. The first few times I used the pan, I was sure that the heat distribution was skewed towards one side of the pan. It was only with repeated use that I realized that the problem was my burner being out of balance, and the pan was just accurately reflecting the heat from below. Now that I have adjusted to how it transfers heat, the pan is a breeze to use. Very good non stick surface, a drop of oil goes a long way, a d it is super easy to clean! Most definitely would buy another!

About as good as Hexclad at cheaper price and will last a lifetime
I have a full set of Hexclad pots and pans which I absolutely love. I needed one additional 8-inch pan, and rather than buy another Hexclad pan which costs $160 with a lid, I thought I'd give this MICHELANGELO pan a try since it would only be secondary pan in my collection. Like the Hexclad, the MICHELANGELO pan has a surface comprised of thousands of stainless steel nubs which are surrounded with recessed non-stick material. The result is a pan that is nearly indestructible and will last a lifetime. You can use metal utensils, steel wool, Bar Keepers Friend cleaner, etc. without harming or delaminating the recessed non-stick material which would otherwise be a concern with typical non-stick pans. Two important considerations for using these pans: 1. Season the pans before first time use by placing a teaspoon or two of avocado oil in the pans for 2-3 minutes on medium heat, then let the pan cool and wipe off the excess oil. 2. To maximize the non-stick qualities of this pan, use much lower heat settings than you'd use in other pans. Because of the stainless steel, these pans can get much hotter than other pans. If you don't lower the heat, food may stick. Not a problem though with lower heat settings! For example, if you cook eggs at a heat setting of 4 with other pans, use a heat seating of 2.5 with these pans. If you are looking for a good pan that you will never need to replace and at a reasonable price, try these!

Beautiful, big pan, but NOT non-stick
First off, the pan is very nice and big, and very well-made. The lid fits nicely and it feels very solid. It heats quickly and evenly. If you don't care about how non-stick a pan is, then this is a solid choice. However, if you want a non-stick pan, best keep looking. The hexagonal pattern on the cooking surface is non-stick on the interior of every hex, but the line of exposed stainless around each hex is very sticky. This combination of sticky/non-stick has the effect of tearing the food you're trying to cook if you move it. Fried eggs come out messy and always leave residue on the pan. Fish skin adheres and tears. I just don't know how to use this pan and have the food come out in one piece. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed.

Great Pan
I have been using this pan for about 2 months now. I'm using it on a 24000 btu pro style gas range. I am not a chef! I have cooked everything from Steak to scrambled eggs in this pan with amazing results. It distributes the heat beautifully and has a great weight to it. After about a month, I noticed a spot was sticking a little bit, I cooked some bacon, and tada it was re-seasoned, no more sticking. I clean this the same way I do my cast iron pans, aka hot water and a sponge. And it has been amazing. I LOVE how the lid stands up on the counter using the handle as well. If you want to get into this new hybrid pan world, this pan is a good way to get into it.

Great little frying pan!
This new honeycomb technology is great. Its relatively non-stick, however things do still tend to stick if you don't use any oil. The heat distribution is great, food cooks evenly and its nice to know that using metal kitchen utensils are safe to use! I've had the small frying pan for months and it still looks brand new, would recommend :)

Probably worth the price
Since my wife had a stroke, I have taken over cooking duties. I was frustrated by not having a large frying pan with a lid. I also wanted a pan that could be used on the stove top and in the oven. This one fits the bill, at a price. It is very solidly constructed (i.e. heavy) with a nicely fitting glass lid that has a large handle. The non-stick surface is (apparently) environmentally friendly and has a honeycomb pattern of the base material. The sales blurb says that you can safely use a metal spatula if it has rounded edges. Which raises one negative point--there were no care instructions included, no dos and don'ts. This seems odd for such a pricey item. I would like to know how to take care of it in the long term.
