Works as it said it would

I purchased this for my son when he got his braces off and had a retainer. I also purchased the Retainer Brite tablets with this and the two items have really helped at keeping his retainer clean and clear of buildup. The sonic cleaner stays super clean and works really well. The only trick I would add to this is when you turn it on maybe have it sit on a towel or something a bit softer because on a hard countertop it vibrates and makes a very annoying sound and it tends to vibrate right OFF THE COUNTER! LOL! But put it on a towel and you don't hear it at all unless your right next to it and it stays in place. I was afraid that because it used batteries instead of plugged in we'd be going thru batteries like crazy, well that is NOT the case. The battery life is very LONG and I think we change the batteries once a month, after using it most every day! I'm very happy with that! When the retainer is done I'm going to try it for jewelry cleaning. I think it would work really well. If you purchase this item I hope you are as happy with it as we have been. I have actually been very surprised at how well it works for being so small and compact. Perfect size for a retainer! Happy Cleaning!

I have used these for years and they do a great job. Unfortunately they only last about a year but the clean great.

The design is sloppy and cheap. It is loud. It is not very well protected from water so the user will need to be careful if they want this thing to last very long. There is a small suction cup on the bottom to hold it in place while it vibrates. Note -- its made in China. The box it came in was smashed up and dirty. There are no instructions in my box -- I don't know if it was supposed to come with instructions. The device, when we took it out of the box, is also dirty. The battery compartment is too small for the AA batteries it calls for -- did I mention it was made in China? Miracle of miracle, it does work. But it is just a very loud vibrator with a little plastic tub for the retainer/mouth guard.

Pros:- 1. Cleans the retainers fairly well when I add retainer brite and run it for 15 mins. 2. If the suction cup is installed on the counter top correctly keeps the device in place. 3.Easy to clean after use. 4. No cords, lasts a month with each set of batteries. Cons:- 1. Noisy 2. battery compartment rusted after 3 months. I was careful to not get the bottom wet. But the humidity in the bathroom caused it to rust. I cannot think of keeping it any other place other than bathroom counter top to be convenient, but the rusting makes it hard. I am glad I am almost done with invisalign, hopefully the night time retainers won't need sonic cleaning often. If you live in less humid places might work for you.

Bought this to use when traveling. Very compact and packs well in suitcase but cleans well. Uses batteries so no cords to keep up with.
