Helped me conquer Norwegian scabies
I recently ran into some health problems, and after months of being misdiagnosed I finally found a good doctor who figured it out. Norwegian scabies are incredibly difficult to get rid of. After failing treatment a couple times (where I was covering myself with sulfur day after day and cleaning the entire house multiple times a day) I ended up getting this steam mop and credit it as making the difference that finally helped me beat the bugs. The steam that comes out of the mop head on hi gets up to and stays around 85 degrees Celsius after 3 minutes or so. Most mites can not survive temperatures greater than 60 degrees Celsius. Using this tool made my daily cleanings a breeze (actually looked forward to steaming, much more fun than the vacuum and scrubbing), and since I've been cleared I've found many more uses for it (just today I used the handheld mode to clean my car). The handheld mode is awesome for so many situations, it is unfortunate that the head for handheld mode can not be replaced, but I've gotten around that a few different ways: 1) Using old (clean) socks, chenille socks work especially well and are actually much easier to load onto the attachment than the stock head. 2) Zip tying the less used triangle heads to the attachment (I figured out a way to do this where I can just pop it off and on pretty easily without having to cut/use more zip ties). 3) Clamping a microfiber cloth to the attachment. I love how the handheld mode uses the trigger instead of just staying on, so I can get it to just the right temperature to clean more sensitive surfaces like painted drywall (1-5 second bursts as recommended in the manual). I love how light it is, and how easy it is to refill using the supplied measuring container. I use distilled water (as recommended in the manual) from my home distiller and it cleans glass with zero streaking, beautiful. I've found this also seems to amplify the cleaning effect of any cleaning chemicals I pretreat the floor with for more stubborn grime, and definitely beats getting down on all fours to scrub the floor with soap and water the old fashioned way. I also got a cheap extension cord so I can reach the entire house from one outlet. The included cord is long enough for most quick jobs and short enough to keep the weight and bulk down. I love how there's a clip by the handle that keeps the cord conveniently out of my way. I love how I can take off the mop head and use the empty bracket to easily steam our carpets and iron out our rugs. I wash the heads in "sport wash" (the manual recommends gentle detergent) and that seems to keep them scrubbing as well as day one. I very rarely write reviews, but this mop literally changed my life for the better, and things like that are rare. This thing is a real MacGyver's dream.

An actual USA review
Wow. I never thought I’d write a review this quick. Steam mop is great. I used the detachable handheld steamer for my grout lines in kitchen. Seen the dirt lift up with ease. Using mop is a breeze. Only downfall is the button to detach mop head. It use to be at the top. Pressing the button, while lifting the machine in the air, Or bending over, is a bummer. Price, excellent at the time.

House Smells SuperClean and the Clean Lasts Longer
I never thought I would be rhapsodizing about anything that had to do with cleaning! The steam mop is now my go to. I researched a LOT—you tube product reviews and anything I could find. In a nutshell, I took the plunge knowing Amazon returns are so easy. Here’s why I love this mop. 1.We have marble in the entry, hardwood floors on the second floor and typical tile in the bathrooms. I’m had a cleaning person (various) for the past 20 years, but somehow they never seemed to get things super clean (Unfortunately, I know HOW to clean very well—time is the issue as a business owner). Anyway, I unpacked my steam mop, watched a few videos and found I was up an running in 10 minutes. My first foray was the hardwood floors. All the you tubers said careful so you don’t strip the floor. Well, the floor DID get stripped....of all the residue from prior products and after 3 rounds the natural shine is literally...well, SHINING! Who knew? 2. On to the bathroom. I vacuum/swept dirt and got busy. Again, did the floors, used the small tool around the edges of the bowl and the fine points on faucets, etc.. Shiny, sanitized clean. Now, my big challenge is the shower...well, it’s not totally crystal clear yet (sliding glass doors) but so much better. I read about a combo of white vinegar and baking soda. That’s my next deep dive but I think the steam mop has broken down the calcification and made it easier for these products to do their job. 3. Backsplash and kitchen counter. WOW. The backsplash is squeaky shiny clean as are the counter tops. It takes me all of 15 minutes to do a serious deep clean on the major surfaces of my kitchen. After steaming I just drop with a micro cloth and voila—like new. Haven’t tried on interior of microwave yet—need to do more research to see if that is viable. 4. Glass top tables—I have a lot! I use my steam mop attachments (hand tools). Here’s my routine: Clear surface, steam mop (tool), dry, replace. Did my entire living room/dining room in 30 minutes. Sometimes I wipe dry with a vinegar/water solution at the end to really make things shiny. Using the mop detached is a breeze. Most importantly, my house smells super clean and believe it or not it seems to stay clean longer! I’ll keep using the cleaning crew but only once a month now. Excellent investment of 160 bucks!

Easy to use
Edit 2025.06.24: While I still use this mop nightly to clean the kitchen, I am searching for a more powerful steamer with more forceful and continuous steam production plus wand to clean other stuff, such as the range hood and bathroom. The short hose requires that I stand on a stool to clean the hood and I would prefer using a wand from the ground. Call me lazy. This is still a fantastic steam mop for the floor though. This steam mop is fantastic! We moved into a rental with questionable cleaning and this steam mop has been put to work cleaning EVERTHING. It's gross to see all the ick coming off the cabinet doors, the stove hood, the tile floors, the shower. Major ick, as it seems no one had ever deep cleaned the rental before. The mop requires distilled water and you'll want to buy several replacement mop heads so that you can clean without having to wait for the included mop head to go through the laundry. For tough spots, there's a red power steam shooter thingy that you activate by swiveling the head around that's pretty cool and you can use both sides of the mop head by just flipping it over. I use the detachable hand-held hose on all vertical surfaces such as the stove, stove hood, the oven, fridge, shower walls and doors, etc. They don't seem to sell replacement triangular heads for the hand-held, so I bought cute chenille dusters from Daiso for $1.50 each. Someone in a review mentioned using the hose without the triangular head attachment and that is seriously fun, because then the steam just shoots out at the grunge instead of being filtered by material. Shark seems to highlight the touch-free detachment of the mops heads; I tried that once, realized it was dumb, and dump it on the ground. I haven't figured out how to detach the main, rectangular mop head so can't tell you about the triangular mop head that is listed as for small spaces. Buy this and keep your place clean! It's faster to use this than to wet mop!

My husband thanks you for making a product that has ended my tanturm fits about cleaning stupid sticky & gross things.
I can't say enough about this steam mop. The last steam mop that I purchased was the very first one that ever come out like 10 years ago. If I had known that they advanced this much I would have purchased this a lot sooner! I chose this one because of the ability to detach from the stick and also the additional small attachment that has the scrubbing scour side and a cloth side. The entire purchase of this mop was worth it just for that attachment!!!! I'm not even exaggerating! I can't wait until they come out with additional covers for that attachment because waiting for it to get out of the washer and dryer is torture because as you are waiting you are thinking about all of the things you are going to use that attachment for next. As soon as I use it again I will add some photos of before and after so you can see what I am talking about. Just for starters I was going to do just the fronts of my kitchen cabinet doors. This job used to take an entire afternoon with hot water, rags, toothbrushes and ended with a very crabby, soar middle aged lady and after all that there would still be that sticky oil greese and dust tar somewhere I had missed. NOT ANY MORE!!!! 30 minutes with that attachment and I had done the inside and outside of every cabinet door, the fronts, sides, and top of every appliance (even that 3 inch space on top of your microwave that you are afraid to touch because you will not be able to unstick your hand) done. Not just done but LIKE NEW done. I didn't know what to do, I thought I was dreaming so a poured a glass of wine to celebrate when my husband walked in and said that he realized that it was a Saturday and all but wasn't 8:45am pushing it for a glass of wine? Nope! Not considering normally it would be mid-afternoon at the earliest the old way of cleaning those stupid things, so I was just that far ahead of schedule.

Love this mop
I've had several steam mops. This is my favorite. I'm a shark brand fan anyway, but this mop can do so much and is a great investment. It heats up crazy fast so there is minimal waiting for steam. I've cleaned sealed/ stained concrete floors, hardwood, linoleum, ceramic tile, mirrors, glass, etc. It streaks on glass but not much worse than a paper towel. It does a great job with dirty dog footprints, daily grime, soap scum, and more. I like being able to flip the pad over to use a clean side. The triangle head attachment is very useful, but the others are a waste. The triangle pad was worn out after one use though, and no longer has the scrubby nubs on it, but it still works (just no scrubbing). When detaching it and using on showers, walls, etc, it does get very heavy holding it and the hose isn't long enough to sit the unit on the floor and use it, so you always have to hold it up. Also, my finger hurts from having to press the button nonstop while using the detached unit. So be prepared for some effort on the detached unit, but as a mop it's lightweight and super easy to use. Love it and it was a great price.

AVOID - read review for specifics
I purchased this product in April of 2020 and didn't like it but due to pandemic related issues I did not get around to returning it to Amazon. I did write a letter to Shark regarding my reasons for disliking the product and as of today have not heard a word from them. I have several other Shark products that I love and am very disappointed to not get a response from them. I haven't used the product in over a year as it frankly is easier to clean the floors by hand than use this thing. I thought I would give it a try again today and my reasons for hating this thing came rushing back. It took me much longer to clean the floor using this than by hand. FYI - it does clean okay but is such a hassle to use it is not worth it. My reasons for disliking the product include: 1) Power cord is tooooo short - always unplugging it and looking for another outlet within reach. If nothing is in reach then will need to use an extension cable 2) Power cord is attached to the product on the water receptacle. This means if you need to refresh the water receptacle then you need to undo the power line and bring it with you to a sink to refill the water. This is a major hassle 3) The power cord is attached to the product near the base (floor end) of the mop making a huge tripping hazard. The power cord needs to be held up high over your head to avoid it dragging on the floor by the users feet 4) Additionally the power cord is located so low that it is ideally situated to snag on every single cabinet knob I really can't believe that this product made it out of quality control. Obviously no one cleaned a floor bigger than a postage stamp with it! It will be going out with next weeks trash and I will be looking for a non Shark option

A Great Household Tool
This is a well designed piece of equipment. It is light, easy to use. Today is the second time I used it and did not need the instructions, because everything about it makes sense. I have tile and laminate flooring and need only to use the low steam setting. It is easy to fill with water; it takes about two fillings to do my floors (a larger area may take more, but the unit is easy to turn on and off). The steam starts very quickly once it is turned on. The dirt grip pad goes on very easily and can be flipped when one side gets dirty. The head swivels easily for maneuverability and goes under furniture including the bed. The tiles are shiny and clean when I am done. The handheld steamer is firmly attached, but detaches easily. I used the handheld steamer with the small attachment to clean the stainless steel and glass front of my microwave and gas stove. I also tried out the clothes steam and it works well too. The electrical cord is a great length and I am learning to manage it and hold it out of the way so I don't get tangled up in it. I appreciate the electric power, however, and wouldn't trade it for a batter operated unit. Extra dirt grip pads can be purchased, but the one that comes with the unit can be scrubbed up clean as new. I would recommend it for its lightness, ease of use and effectiveness.

Wrong Voltage for Singapore - wrong Answer to Question
I've purchased this Shark S3973 for my wife in Singapore. Though the Seller replied the voltage is 210v, it is not. It is 110v. So I have to return it. And the factory box is not even sealed, so there is little trust in the content. Another problem is shipping in Singapore. Many products are simply shipped in the Manufacturer's box packaging, which is typically dirty or slightly damaged, with the DHL labels slapped right onto the box. This is generally unacceptable and very unprofessional, unlike in America whereby all products are shipped in an additional Amazon box with additional protective materials. I believe Amazon Singapore must do better to grow in Asia.

Not for UK voltage
Little bit disappointed. I know that this is a great tool as I had it before in US so when moved to UK decided to buy it again. Got too excited and unpacked everything but when noticed US plug I checked the user guide and this one is not for UK voltage- it’s for 110V-120V which is mentioned in the description but not easy to find. This one should not be sold in UK!
