These markers are really great. I haven't tried wiping them off of anything because my projects are permanent, but I can attest to their smooth flow and the fact they are perfectly opaque. I have been through a lot of brands of chalk markers without much success to date, but these are the first ones I've used that work really well. They are excellent quality and the chisel tips work really well for all sorts of drawing. Even the darker colors (red, brown, etc.) pop on a dark background, which has been a real problem for me before. As you can see from my photos, they can produce a clear picture (only the bright orange and white were not from this pack).As for the company, the other reviews are true. This company has an excellent customer service department. Not only do they follow-up with your purchase, but I had an issue with one of the markers and it was quickly addressed by them.You can certainly buy these markers with confidence without having to worry about any issues from any end!

Some of the best customer service out there! Wow, they seriously care and want you to be happy with your markers! They emailed me when my order shipped, again to make sure they arrived on time, and again to be sure I loved the markers. They even included some fun suggestions on ways to use them. As to the markers themselves, they are perfect! Nice colors & they write beautifully and evenly. I am using them on a small, natural slate board In my dining room on which I write a scripture each day. So far they have erased easily with water & a cloth. No outlines or residue. See my photo above for how the colors show up on a slate background. Anyway, back to customer service, as it's such a rarity these days... You'd think I bought a car from these people for how attentive and thoughtful they were in their communications. I will admit that I haven't tried any other chalk markers. Given this experience, why would I? Thank you, Chalk This Way, for a great product backed by great people!

Overall, good quality but the lighter colors don't erase completely from my vinyl wall decal calendar 'blackboard', especially if they have been left on for about a week or longer. There is still a slight residue and faint ghostly imprint left behind after erasing with a damp cloth.***Updated review***I revised my ratings down as the markers did not age well. Despite using & storing them according to the directions & not abusing them in any way, the tips of the marker fray and the ink flow is really not consistent. The peach color is particularly watery and a few of the markers no longer work that well. I'm not particularly happy with the quality at this point.

Markers are good, but not totally opaque. You have to do 2-3 coats to make it completely opaque in larger areas. Single-line parts look fine with just one coat. Doesn't wipe away once it's dry, which is nice for longevity. The earth-tone pack has nice colors. If you try to layer colors or put them side-by-side, they smear together even after they are dry and the nib picks up the color that was already there. It works best to do the lighter color first, and then do your darker colors overtop after the lighter ones are dry.The e-book they include is pretty useless, just a big ad for their own product, which is stupid because you don't get it until after you've already purchased it...While it's nice to know that the seller is there if you have any issues, this guy is annoying. He sends another email every few days to try and get you to leave positive seller feedback for him on Amazon. I've unsubscribed but I keep getting emails. Obnoxious.

Works perfectly with the Ziggyboard chalkboard party labels that I bought to go with these for labelling containers in the pantry.The only things to bear in mind when using these are as follows. These are the same traits that I've found with other chalk markers, so nothing specifically to this brand.1) The chalk markers are designed to come off with water, which is great when you want to wipe the marks away, but means you have to be careful to have dry hands when drawing / writing with them otherwise they easily smudge2) If the chalk is left on a surface for a longer period, it can be hard to get rid of all the marks fully with just water. A little bit of Windex works great to get rid of it completely though.

In general, I like these. They work well and having an assortment of autumnal colors is fun. The drawbacks are that depending upon the surface, some of the colors can appear darker than the cap indicates. I've also not been able to remove it from some surfaces with either water or an ammonia based cleaner (suggested on the packaging). This is probably because the surfaces are not true chalkboard, but some painted with chalkboard paint and because we left it on there for over a month. I'd used them for signs for my wedding reception and we left for our honeymoon the next day - cleaning the signs was not a priority.

I love the IDEA of these markers- we use them to write on a frosted-backed Quartet glass board that's mounted on the wall. There are two problems with them:1. These are gravity-fed, liquid chalk pens- writing on something that's wall mounted (so you are holding the pen horizontally) is challenging and slow going (unless you like streaky words that you can't read.) They definitely take some practice.2. Not all of the colors show up on our frosted glass board (that's mounted in front of a white wall) as not all are as opaque as others. The green one especially just looks like yellow pee, and I've used it multiple times, convinced each time that THIS would be the time the chalky part flows- so far no luck. Anyway, I think these would be great on a black wipe-off board.Clean up is really easy. I would still buy them again as there appears to be nothing else better on the market and I really like the tones of the colors in this pack.
