If i paint the tiles inaide shower cubicle how long after painting can tiles get wet

Hi there, I really don't know about using it in a shower... I used it for a splashback and found the paint very runny - drips! very thin too, needed two coats, maybe three. Now I am going to buy something to cover it over.
