Samsung Chromebook 3 XE500C13-K01US 2 GB RAM 16GB SSD 11.6" Laptop (Renewed)

This is my first time purchasing a Chromebook, and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed so far. This particular one was purchased as "refurbished", but I honestly can't tell the difference! The laptop came boxed in the original packaging and was protected by plastic sleeves inside the box. Getting it set up and running took less than 10 minutes and was so easy. I'm pretty good with technology, but someone with little to no experience with computers would still have a very easy time getting the Chromebook set up. All it took was powering it on, entering my gmail information and I was good to go!I have a regular laptop at home and intend to use this one to carry to class and take notes since my other laptop is a 17" and is fairly hefty. This one is small, lightweight, and very portable. I'm also impressed with the battery life on this Chromebook- I charged it fully and it took me 3 days of use for it to need another charge. Loving it so far!

Overall it is a great device. There are some drawbacks such as not being able to stream movies from the movie apps via HDMI on a larger screen or TV. The other is that there are some limitations with the movie apps and storing movies on the SD card. However, if you are streaming things like YouTube or other videos while using the browser, you can connect to another screen via HDMI and work from there. It is great for travel and for doing basic tasks online. I've found that there are some apps that I use on a regular basis, like One Note, that seem to not quite work, as it was making me sign into to my OneDrive account, but then it wouldn't go through, stating it can't sign in right now, try later. So, I currently cannot use One Note. But this device is more my travel and living room buddy, versus being my main PC or work laptop.

I got super lucky, I didn't check if this chromebook supported android apps before buying. It does! Thank goodness! Very satisfied with my purchase.

I have been using a Chrome Book for several years now and I love it. I even use it for programming our website and it does wonderfully. I have several other lap tops and a Macbook Pro Air that I never turn on. I bought one for the wife, she loves it. I bought this one for mom who's 81 and does not do well with computers - she loves it too.

Seems like a new machine. Came with a 4.5-hour charge. Full charge overnight brought it up to over ten hours total projected.Since I was using Chrome for most of my online work, it was a smooth transition. This is a great spare laptop.Okay. so this is a new document in my little bitty Chromebook. I kind of like it, really. It’s okay now that I’ve set up the big mouse cursor and the other stuff. It types real fast. It’s all google web based so there’s no problem with having to back it up. It has a 2 gb ssd drive so that’s fast, even though it doesn’t store very much. And it has the two USB ports, one of which I’m going to try out right now.Works really well! I like the way it’s set up, though it’s not as intuitive as my MacBook pro. But I like some of the non-Window-ish features. The backspace key, for example, deletes as it backspaces. In that position on Windoze, the delete key deletes forward. (On Mac, both are easy to do. The Function+delete key deletes forward on a Mac.)All in all, I like it so far. The keyboard has a nice touch; easy to see key tops (though I wish they were lighted). The screen is small but very clear and bright. This is perfect for what I wanted. When I don’t want to take my Macbook Pro, which is a big one (17”), this little fella is just fine. I can do what I want, back it up on a flash drive, and I’m in great shape. Yeah. I like it.

Great price, and they work just as if brand new! I ordered 2 of these for my kiddos in a rush to transition to remote learning. I could not be happier with my purchases!

Very impressed with this, I was hesitant because it was refurbished. I've had it 5 days now and have not had 1 issue with it. Battery life is amazing and I have not found a single scrath, dent etc on it. Definitely worth the price. You will not regret this purchase, I highly recommend this product.
