I am brca1+, so I had a prophylactic skin sparing mastectomy back in 2008 after receiving the results of my genetic testing. I underwent various breast reconstruction surgeries in 2009. My scars are big, dark and and are over 17 years old now. I've previously attempted to have my scars removed via a dermatologist's laser therapy some years ago, but even after multiple sessions of the laser therapy I noticed no changes in the scars at all. My stepsister (who was training to be a plastic surgeon) recommended silicone strips for scars like mine, but I lost patience with utilizing those rubbery silicone-only scar strips years ago, because I felt like they never stayed on (and hated how they'd stick to my clothing on their front side), plus everything else would stick to them too, making them rather impossible to wash and reuse. Saw these strips and decided to try them out, since they have a thin cloth backing on them. it's too soon to tell whether or not they have helped to fade my scars (since that will take many months of daily usage to achieve), but the main thing is that I'm ok with wearing them regularly, they're easier to clean, they stay on (even after I had to reposition them multiple times), and they hand wash up just fine. plus they don't stick to my clothes, a very generous amount was included in the package, and I'm able to cut them to the exact shapes I need. the cloth backing is a pale beige color, which may not be ideal for discreetly covering scars on deeper skin tones, but that's not the main purpose of these (they are a medical device for lightening scars), but if the manufacturer came out with these using dark brown fabric on the front side of them also, I imagine more people might feel encouraged to try them out too.

Absolutely useless. It doesn't stick after 8 days, though claiming it would last a few weeks. It curls up and sticks when washing. Disappointing don't buy

I was not able to use these so they were returned. I had a lift of my 34B breasts and they were too small for the areola area. So if your areolas are small they will not fit. But, they looked of good quality.

I have used these silicone strips after my breast surgery to help with the healing of my incisions. I can say, follow the instructions because if left on too long, they can cause issues. I left them on too long and it pulled some skin off and I developed a scabbed area that has now taken longer to heal. On my lower abdomen I used them as well and had much better results but I followed the instructions exactly. They were easy to use and thick. I did have to cut them down as most breast incisions are a standard size and these were much larger than my actual incisions. They were very sticky, I have saved them and have reused them 7 or more times and they are still very sticky. I can’t tell that they have changed my scars any but I did use them to protect from sun in a tanning bed and it worked well for that.

I’ve been using these silicone scar sheets for a couple of weeks now. They’re comfortable, easy to apply, and stick well throughout the day and night. I appreciate that they don’t irritate my skin, even in sensitive areas. The different styles in the set are a nice touch and make it easier to find a shape that works. I like they are reusable and O have high hopes! That said, I know these kinds of results take consistent use, so I’m giving it more time before making a final judgment on effectiveness. So far, I’m cautiously optimistic—it seems to be reducing some redness and helping with healing. Will update later if the results continue to improve!

I had an anchor breast lift awhile ago and have some scaring that I'm hoping to reduce. This package of Silicone scar sheets comes with 2 areola and 2 anchor scar sheets that are washable and reusable. After wearing them for 12 hours, you remove them, wash them with a gentle soap and let them dry. You can reapply them immediately or stick them to the included extra plastic sheet, so they are ready for the next time you want to use them. They are easy to trim to size and stick well. Always remember to let your wounds heal fully before using silicone scar sheets (after your stitches have been removed and your doctor gives you the okay).

Very inadequate. Washed once in warm water and all the silicone washed off. Only used them twice.
