Barlean's Lemonade Omega Pals Kids Omega-3 Fish Oil, 540mg EPA & DHA, 8oz

This is a product I will continue buying for my son. He absolutely loves the taste and actually gets excited when it is time to take it. He thinks of it more like a treat than a supplement, which makes it so much easier as a parent because I don't have to fight him to take it. We originally started using this because it was recommended as part of supporting my son's routine since he was very prone to getting styes. Before using this, there were times when he would have multiple styes at once, sometimes up to three. We have been using this for several years along with OCuSOFT Baby Eyelid and Eyelash Cleansing Towelettes, and we have noticed that he gets them much less often now. Of course, every child is different, but this has been a product that has worked well for our family's routine. The biggest benefit for us is that my son actually enjoys taking it, and it has been easy to stay consistent because he likes the flavor so much. Overall, this has become a staple in our home. The taste is kid-friendly, the quality has been great, and we will continue purchasing it because it has been such an easy addition to our son's daily routine.

Tastes Like Lemonade – No Complaints from My Kids!. I’ve tried so many omega-3 supplements for my kids, and this is the first one they actually love. It tastes just like lemonade—no fishy smell, no weird aftertaste. Total win. Bonus- it’s sugar-free and dairy-free, which is important for our family. It has a great amount of EPA and DHA, and I’ve noticed a difference in my kids’ focus and mood since we started using it. It’s easy to give – they take it straight from the spoon and no need to disguise it in juice as it tastes that good. If you’ve got picky kiddos this is a must-try. Have purchases several times now.

My kindergartener is a very picky eater. Initially, before buying this, I tried another brand of omega 3/DHA supplement that is in the shape of gummy dolphins. He told me they taste bad and he wouldn't eat them unless I gave him another gummy vitamin in the same mouthful with each one (so, paired each dolphin with a gummy swirl calcium gummy). I next tried about half teaspoon of Nordic Naturals Pro Omega (Pro EFA), lemon flavored dha oil drizzled on an Eggo waffle and then coated it thickly in wild blueberry jam to hide the taste. He could still taste it and rejected it. $25 wasted but I'll use it on another family member since it's also a great product. So for picky eater, I bought a small bottle of Chirpin' Slurpin' Lemonade, and put just one thick drop on a spoon, and asked him to taste it. His initial reaction was to say "mmm!" and then ask for more. He described the taste as a little bit sour and a little bit sweet, and overall like lemon-flavored frosting. He is a kid who likes things like key lime yogurt, which I find too sour, so your kid may or may not appreciate this if they aren't so into things that are sweet and tart or sweet and sour at the same time. He now comes to me to remind me to give him his "lemonade drops." The liquid is very thick and consistently opaque yellow. The consistency is kind of like squeeze-bottle honey, but easier to squeeze so maybe a little thinner. I like that I don't have to take an extra step of hiding it in something and wrapping it in extra sugary stuff and hoping he doesn't notice it. It's much faster this way. I will be ordering this again.

Great Product, but one star deducted for the slight bait and switch tactic they use to label their product line. Barleans makes a "kids" and "regular" lemon oil that are THE EXACT SAME, just the kids is packaged in a smaller bottle with a cute label and instructions to give less (5 ml vs 10 ml). You're paying $2 per 16 on Amazon just to be told the children's dose, which could EASILY be written on the adult lemon bottle. As you will see in my picture, I bothered to do the math, and they are the SAME EPA, DHA and Omega 3s per ML of Oil (as well as the same ingredient list). The best bargain is their Lime High Potency oil, which is 13% more expensive, but gives you 37%-40% EPA, DHA and Omega 3s per ML. This product is STILL using flim-flam marketing tricks though, because they cheat to make it look like 200% more instead of the true 40% more by increasing the dose size from 10 ml on the adult lemon to 15 ml on the adult lime! The lime is still worth the increase in price, BUT it is so shady that they change the dosing so they can claim on the front 720 mg vs 1500 mg! NOTE: All the reviewers claiming they can taste a fish after taste from the lime are having a psychosomatic response, you CANNOT taste it. I have done a blind taste test with my picky 6 and 3 year old daughters (and myself, though not blind) and we all agreed that all 3 taste like deliciously sweet and creamy lemon and lime (seriously, it is like melted lemon or lime sherbert!). The lime tastes the slightest bit more "artificial" when the flavor first hits your tongue, but there is no after taste. All they did in the lime to make it "high potency" is cut back on water (you can tell because the calories rise a proportionate 33% for the lime vs the lemon). If you are giving your children the "kids" lemon, stop wasting the $2 and just refill your old bottle with the grown up lemon, or better yet with a 50 / 50 mix of the lemon and lime till they don't notice and eventually switch them to the lime 100%. They are even the same color! My kids still excitedly remind me to give them their lemon oil whenever I forget, because they LOVE it, and they've been switched to the high potency lime for over a month now! LOL

We have noticed a change in our 4 year old concentration levels after using this for a couple of months consistently now. He loves the taste! This is a win for our family.

Wow!! The reviews were right. My just 5 year old BEGGED for more!! I tried it to see why he was so enthusiastic and it tasted like creamy lemon meringue. He said "lemon meringue with a little vanilla, daddy". I have been in the pharmacy business for 35 years and I have yet to try any omega supplement that's tastes completely free of fish. This product does that. Zero fish taste. My son ate salmon from 6 months old until 3 years old twice a week at least. He has started to discover other foods and eats fish about once a week now. My little preemie grew so fast and caught up much quicker than expected and I attribute that to his diet of all homemade organic foods and his fish intake. Omegas are mega important. Read up on them. You will be surprised. I'm buying more now. I will subscribe to the auto ship. Your kids will love it, I assure you! Omegas are VITAL in the first 6 years for optimum health of the brain. Also PROVEN to help with ADHD, cardiovascular health, anxiety, immune health, cancer, depression, diabetes, eyes, skin and hair, weight loss, fertility and pregnancy. Give it to them now when it matters most and set up good healthy habits for the future!!

This was the first omega that I could get my 6 year old to take. We tried several brands in the gummy version, but he couldn't stand the taste. He loves the taste of the lemonade flavor. He is super picky and has sensitive taste buds, so this was a huge win for us. He does prefer to take it at lunch or dinner though. The flavor is a little strong for him first thing in the morning, but he has no issues once his taste buds wake up. I use a medicine syringe and he willingly takes it without mixing it with anything.

I ordered 2 bottles and received today 30th August, 2022 but both expiry dates were June 8th, 2022 and I can’t return shame!!
