LG 5318EL3001A Genuine OEM Burner Igniter for LG Gas or Electric Dryers

We weren't sure why my LG DW1502 Sensor Dryer wasn't heating up. To save myself an expensive service call I googled the problem, and took a chance on ordering this igniter. It is compatible with the dryer and fired right up! It's easy to install - it was taking the dryer apart to get to the igniter that was difficult. Hope I don't have to, but I'd order this again! :)

Genuine OEM quality product that took care of my issue on my dryer. Installed it several months ago and have had no issues since since.

This was a perfect replacement for my LG Dryer igniter. Several hundred screws and a few hours later and the gas dryer is once again igniting and heating up. This is the second time in eight years I've had to replace this part. IMO, LG products don't have very good longevity. The igniter blew the first time just after the warranty expired and LG told me to have a nice life. I recently discovered that LG actually means Lucky-Goldstar. Didn't Goldstar go out of business in the eighties? Live and learn. Hopefully I'll get another four years out of this one. A couple of dollars on the part, a couple of hours of mindless time and some occasional cursing and it was well worth it; It certainly beats another $1200 to replace the dryer. My wife discovered something unique during this experience.. Most laundromats won't allow you to try unless you pay them to wash as well. Interesting tidbit.

This is part number DC038KX. It is not an OEM part as advertised. I've installed it but have not tested it. I will update this review after some time if it works, but I'm not optimistic on longevity. Seems to work fine, so not going to return it. Not changing my rating as this was still not an OEM part and is disingenuous to sell it as is.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente, buen producto, me llego en tiempo y forma y quede ampliamente convencido ya que lo instale yo mismo y funciono de maravilla, sobre todo por que los inútiles de servicio LG no lo consiguieron y no me hicieron valida la garantía y lo tuve que conseguir por mi cuenta.
