2023: Seems to work just fine. I also bought an off-brand import version of this that is just a "Y" of the wires. The block piece on this one is just a little cumbersome and may get in the way for use while walking, hiking, biking, etc. but it should not be too troublesome. I bought this for play in the car, so that's less of a concern for me. I already had a ground loop noise isolator for the car, and I have not tried this item without it, so I cannot speak to any potential interference when used without one. The sound quality appears to be good. Many of these advertise a bit rate and frequency. I do not believe there is anything exceptional to this item in that regard. Craftmanship can be a factor there too though. I have not really tested the limits in terms of sound quality (loud play, complicated songs with lots of bass and/or treble), but so far it plays well. ***Update 2026: I know this one has some durability concerns, but this is still the best option out there. Mine lasted just short of 3 years with regular use in the car, and me paying little mind to its care. It started cutting out with even the slightest movement at that point. Still, this is the best sound option that I have found. Other brands require a higher volume setting to get the same sound, and some randomly cut out from the get-go. Also, this is the only item that has allowed me to stay plugged into my car speakers and run calls with my phone's mic (Teams, regular phone), while other brands do not (they will give care speaker sound, but my mic will not operate). So durability concerns aside, I got 3 years out the first unit, it has the best sound that I have found, and it works with my phone's mic while plugged in. If I have to keep buying every 3 years, that is not great, but far from terrible considering the amount of use and the functionality.

I've been using a version of this for years. I got an iPhone 17 recently and bought this spliter. When I plug in the phone it says it's charging, but then amends that to "slow charging" with a little blue cable icon. Advertised as 30W fast charging, but this doesn't even really qualify as charging. After an hour drive the phone has barely made any progress. It basically just keeps up with being on. In retrospect, the product description is sketchy looking. Describes it as a "power bank?" I bought this without looking too hard due to past good experience with Belkin brand. But going to try someone else.

Durability: 3/5 Has a plastic shell, so I would not advise being rough with the product in terms of tossing it around, yanking it off from the phone, etc. Treat it with care and it'll last long. Charging speed seems to be about the same without this connector and just having my phone plugged directly to the charging cable. Heat level: 5/5 At most it gets warm Compatibility: 5/5 No issues connecting to the Apple 3.5mm earphones and Anker USB-C to USB-A charging cable Extra info: I previously used this version of the product for my iPhone 11 pro that had the lightning cable, and also had no issues with it.

Excellent gadget. Saved me hundreds of dollars. My 2005 truck only has an AUX input port and that stopped working when my new phone came without a 3.5mm phone jack. Bluetooth does not work with my old radio. In order to get Bluetooth connectivity, I would have had to install a new radio and matching speakers. I could have purchased a Bluetooth adapter to connect the 3.5mm AUX plug into the AUX input, but reading reviews on alternative Bluetooth dongle adapters, convinced me that there are volume and noise problems. I just tried the Belkin RockStar™ 3.5mm Audio with USB-C Charge Adaptor plugged into my AUX in jack and it is providing excellent results. I can make and receive phone calls and the cell phone charges just fine. Streaming music is static free. Liking this solution the best. Pros: It works with the phone set at low to mid volume. Works with my antiquated radio and amplifier. Excellent sound. I would buy another one to replace it should it ever fail in the future. I would recommend it to friends and strangers. The addition of the splitter seems to cause a humming sound when plugged in, even without being on phone you can hear it, increases when phone plugged in. Might be my application for using it with a cassette adapter to iPhone which is causing the degradation.

I bought this because most new phones don't have a 3.5mm headphone port. But I wanted to be able to listen to calls or music, and also charge the phone at the same time. This device can do that. Or, just use it to listen with headphones. One or both ports can be used at a time. Audio quality is good to my non-audiophile ear. It's not hollow sounding with a good pair of headphones. Digital-Analog Converter (DAC) chips have come a long way in recent years, and are now part of everyday devices. There is a very quiet "hiss" sound between when audio track/sound ends and before the DAC in the adapter shuts off when there's no noise. You'd have to be in a very quiet room to notice it, and it's not an issue for me. Volume is adjusted through the phone's volume control menu, just like with normal listening or calls. Overall it's a great device for modern phones, you can listen and fast charge at the same time. I'm impressed!

I have bought this item a couple times not really paying attention as to when it died. This time I paid attention! I bought it January 23 ,2026 and it died by March. I finally got around to attempting to return it and it's too late. I sat on hold with Amazon/Belkin customer support for more than 20 minutes (as I write this review) and they don't pick up. I went to Belkin's website, other people have complained. Lesson learned...DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It is extremely unreliable an you cannot get help! There are other options out there which I have tried and seem to be better than this Belkin product.

Overpriced piece of trash, costs way too much for it to lose connection on phone end after a month. Happens everytime, will never buy this trash again.

Nutze den Adapter, um Kopfhörer anzuschließen und gleichzeitig zu laden. Funktioniert ohne Probleme, Ton ist sauber und Laden läuft parallel ganz normal. Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig und stabil. Macht genau das, wofür man ihn braucht. Würde ich wieder kaufen.
