Great desk - just what I wanted. It is sturdy, well-designed, and has a large surface area, which I needed. The majority of reasonably inexpensive desks are too narrow for my purposes. This one is big enough for my computer gear AND a cat bed in the corner. It has a lovely shabby chic look and a clever paint job that makes it look like you found it in an antique store. It is elegant but simple, and it looks awesome in my tiny cabin, matching the wood walls and white trim beautifully. The top is manufactured wood, looks real, but is actually really tough material pretending to be wood. My cat and I both would scratch it right away if it were possible, but it is not - yay. If a thing can be scratched, my cat and I will immediately do so. The desk has a faux drawer for the keyboard and a real drawer, and it has two UBS and two outlet interfaces at the back of the top, which is very handy. I plan to purchase some inexpensive adhesive cord organizers to gather the excess cordage at the back to make them totally disappear from view. Importantly to me, the desk is long (cat bed) and also deep - room to loll against the desk. I enjoy lolling while using the computer and shopped for a deep desk for just that reason. Finally, it was shipped with Amazon's usual military precision and professional expertise and was left right outside my deck door, which involved carrying it up a short flight of stairs. Good. No damage on arrival. Has an antique feel to it. Nice large sized surface, keyboard tray is a great size, and the small drawer is useful to store small items.

Very nice desk..it is exactly what I hoped it would be

I have had my eye on this here desk for around 4 years now. FINALLY decided to pull the trigger since the need for a nicer desk became a focus for me. ;) I have a corner in my living room set up for diamond painting, and the desk I was using was not the prettiest, and also just didn't have the depth I needed. I have a couple pieces of this Realyn line in my living area, and knew this desk would be so pretty and WAY more aesthetically pleasing in my living room than what I had. MY BIGGEST CONCERN: So many people seem to have had the bad luck of receiving a damaged desk upon its arrival, and I was hoping beyond hope that this would not happen to me. I already knew I would love the desk, could finally afford said desk....so the main hurdle would be getting it in good shape. WELL...low and behold it arrived in perfect...and I mean PERFECT condition! Nary a scratch or dent to be seen! Woohoo! ASSEMBLY: It was just me. I managed it easily! I am 60 years old, and had some anxiety over if I would need help, but nope. Super easy...just had to attache the legs with the screws provided and DONE. I will say the two front legs were a bit tricky because the one screw was hard to get to (especially the left front). You do have to pull out the draws a bit. I finished tightening those once the desk was upright. The scariest part was tipping it on its end putting the weight on the two legs to tip it upright. It was fine. Whew! I will add that I kept the desk in the box on the protective foam they have under the corners which made it easier to tip upright once the legs were on. This desk is heavy, and beautiful. It is a focal point of my living room! The depth is perfect. LOVE the plug outlet that's on the desk too. That's a great bonus for my needs! I have the complete Realyn line in my bedroom, and know that the surface scratches fairly easily...so, I do have some felt under my light pad to give some extra protection to the surface. I am sure you can tell that I am SO happy with this purchase! I apologize for the video. It was an after-thought after I put my Diamond Painting canvas and what-not on it. I hope you find the video a little helpful just the same.
