I love this PC stick because all you have to do is plug it into your TV or computer monitor and now you have a fully functioning Windows 10 Pro computer setup. You can even take it with you to a friend's house and plug into his TV or monitor. Basically its a super portable and a very simple way to take your entire computer with you and not just selected files that you put on a flash drive and you don't to lug around an expensive bulky laptop. This is a great option for someone who is a minimalist or someone that doesn't want to spend a ton of money on a computer but still want's a reliable and snappy machine.

It really gets very hot when in use, I bought a metallic napkin holder, and I placed it on top of it. It doesn't get hot anymore. See the attached photos. Something else metallic can be used instead.

Upon receiving this, I connected to a 4k Uhd monitor, went through the normal Win10 initialization, and then installed the Ubuntu 20.04 along side Win10 to use as a dual boot unit. I'll probably never boot into the Win10 side of it but opted to keep it for now. Ubuntu runs great. I installed Kodi on the Ubuntu side and it runs 4k movies/TV and IPTV streams with no buffering or lag that I've seen so far. I'm overly impressed so far at about 1 week in. We'll see how long it lasts but for now, I couldn't be more impressed for such a tiny unit.

So out of the box this thing is pretty impressive. Comes with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed, no problems there. It has 8gb LPDDR4 RAM@2133 so for basic browsing and simple gaming it's peachy keen. I only bought this to put in a recording booth and run a condenser mic through and that's pretty much all I plan to use it for and for that it works absolutely great. Of course I had to test out this new mini toy a bit so I tried some older 3D games out and I was actually pleasantly surprised. For such a tiny thing it kept up pretty well. I noticed some weird stuff when I checked out all the numbers in Open Hardware Monitor after gaming. It turns out the CPU is power limited by the firmware so it only pushes up to 9 watts max. It's set to 7 for base speeds and this processor is supposed to take 10+ watts. If you are aren't using the GPU then it will run at 2ghz/2.7ghz but as soon as you bring the GPU up it throttles both the graphics frequency and the core clock speeds fairly significantly. If you know what you're doing you can disable the power clamp and change the power limits in the UEFI. If you don't know what that is then don't mess with it. I got it to run pretty much as the chip is intended but for the normal user it will be starved of power a little so if this CPU was the reason you wanted this PC you should look at the other MeLE fanless PC that's a little more pricey but has a bigger power supply so it should get all the juice it needs or maybe just go with the stick PC with the j4105 and save a few bucks. All in all it's a really good product and the limitations shouldn't affect the average user but don't expect this thing to play Cyberpunk. The problem could have been prevented if they would have just powered it with a USB type C. I have to assume the thermal limits are the reason for the adjustments but it can handle a little more than they give it to you with. I do recommend it if you need an absolutely silent PC and you don't plan on transcoding or gaming on it.

I bought this for being an online video streamer for 4K content to use in my home theater. It is a very large theater that I use to entertain large numbers of guests in. Mostly bringing my beer league hockey team to for watching NHL games on nhl66.ir. I was using ChromeCast for that but I kept having video issues. With this I can do it direct over HDMI. Although it struggles to get going, once going, streaming any type of UHD content is flawless. I even played a raw BluRay UHD rip over the network using VLC and it was perfect. Although the CPU and RAM is highly loaded. Anything else going on and it will start to judder. But I didn't get it to be a desktop or workstation. I got it to be a tiny little device like my Roku, AppleTV, or NVidia Shield to stash on my equipment rack as another streaming option and it is absolutely perfect for that.

COVID has brought video conferencing into my living room as we now use Zoom, Teams, Messenger, and other similar apps to stay connected with friends and family on a regular basis. I bought the MeLE stick PC, a high-end webcam, and a USB wireless keyboard to connect to my living room TV. After running through all the Windows 11 updates I tried to use it for Zoom. There were two problems - first, the video was choppy in rendering to a 4K TV. I reduced the resolution to 1080P but that did not fix the problem. Second, I could not use the USB keyboard from more than about 3 feet way. It seemed to me that there was inadequate power to the dongle. The vendor said it was interference from being too close to the machine and suggested I use an extension cable. That feels unlikely to me but I didn't test it as I knew I was going to return it anyway at that point.

When I initially received the device and reinstalled Win 10 it ran into some issues to which the wifi and Bluetooth stopped working, upon contacted MeLE support this is where I was really impressed. After some initial troubleshooting the support staff determined the module was faulty and did not waste time sending out a replacement, this arrived in a matter of days so I believe it was sent out immediately. They did this even before asking for the defective unit back which I will return at their cost. As customer support goes I would say it's the quickest turnaround I have experienced. To that extent given the item itself (which can have manufacturing defects) add a ease of mind when buying from this company. I would add that when contacting the support staff its best to be clear which model and capacity you purchased. A smaller size unit 128 as opposed to 256 was sent out and due to error the company refunded the difference (would have preferred the capacity I bought but I was ok to compromise). Also best to state what versions of Windows you want. The replacement is currently working well and as expected.

Espero que esta reseña ayude a alguien que esta buscando un dispositivo como este, conrespecto al envio fue en tiempo y forma y la caja muy acorde ccon lo que se compra; con respecto a los materiales del mini pc se ve muy bien y funciono correctamente sin problemas durante 1 año 5 meses. El problema fue que de un dia para otro el dispositivo no encendio y solo se queda con el foco rojo encendido pero no funciona; vi en otras reseñas que a muchos les a pasado lo mismo por lo que pienso que internamente tiene componentes de muy baja calidad que en cualquier momento fallaran. Si no quieres perder tu dinero en verdad no compres!!!

Premetto che ho comprato il dispositivo per interfacciarlo con l’iPad così da avere due dispositivi portatili in uno. Proprio qui incomincia la mia sorpresa dato che stiamo parlando di un PC STICK con processore INTEL CELERON di ultima generazione e RAM DDR4 da 8 GB alimentato da appena 15 W (5 V, 3 A). Inoltre volevo utilizzarlo per determinati CAD come FUSION 360 (che lavora via internet) e funziona alla perfezzione. OTTIMO DAVVERO

Este ordenador se calienta mucho. Todavía no estaba una hora encendido y ya "quemaba". Si se calienta de esta manera, tendré que devolverlo.

Ich habe das kleine Teil mit dem Fernseher verbunden und es funktioniert perfekt! Habe noch eine Funktastatur angeschlossen und funktioniert wie ein PC!
