Shure Centraverse Installed Sound Overhead Microphone, Black, Cardioid Condenser Mic with 25-Foot XLR Cable, Snap-Fit Windscreen and Wire Aiming Hanger (CVO-W/C)

Kind of hard to explain how we use these, but essentially two hang from a 9 foot ceiling in a room where we observe from behind a one-way mirror people who know they are being observed (no, we are not cops). I have set up rooms this way many times over the last 25 years and I have never had this quality of microphones available to me, especially not at this price. I was going to get a wireless for the employee being observed but after our trial run with two of these, I need not spend the money. The sound was crystal clear...like pin drop clear. I could hear people breathing. Shure has always made good mics and I own several, but this one is really the bomb.

Have these for church service. Amazing sound and clarity. Shure is a proven manufacture, so we had no problem to buy 4 of these mic's. Very easy to install (we set our gear every Sunday) and we have amazing results with choir. This mic is a condenser mic so remember to power the phantom power as it has no other power source. Ideal choir mic. 25' very thin cable easy to run over stage. Also comes with wire hanger to ensure proper angle. Shure advisors even showed me how to locate. Used seven of these on theatre stage for assistive listening system into an old Shure automixer - work great

We're a small community theatre group and have 5 of these mics currently being used for a cast of ten. With good tech support from our crew, we can get by without the need for wireless mics and headsets.

I've set these up on microphone stands for our small church choir and they are working great!. Will hang/mount from ceiling at a later date. They pick y nicely and sound great!

In the photo I uploaded if you look top center you'll see the mic. I use it for the choir at my church. Its usually 3 to 6 people. Plenty of coverage and you can hear them. The angle and position matter on your feedback as with any mic. Its small enough nobody sees it.

We used this as an ambient microphone hanging stationary in the rear of the room. Not sure if it was defective or overall poor quality! Stopped working after 6 months. The return window was only 1 month. Waste of money. Don’t buy it .

Works well and because of its small size and thin wire, it is almost invisible to the audience.

Great value. Moderate coverage, takes a lot of eq carving to get any gain. However for the price and on a small stage, it works well.
