My hubby sweats; after a few nights = smelly pillowcase & smelly pillows; I'm buying new pillows. Will these covers keep odor off the new pillows?

In my experience, starting with new pillows and pillow protectors, these protectors do not keep the musty smell from getting through. They have been no better than the previous protectors that I have tried.

If it's 100% cotton terry how is it 100% waterproof?

There is a plastic liner and terry on the outside, works really well. I would buy again!

Yes, these are great for feather/down pillows. I only use feather/down pillows, and I like a combination of thin ones and thick ones, and these covers work perfectly on both. I ordered enough for every pillow in my house--which is quite a few because I like a lot of pillows on the bed. I highly recommend them.

If you mean will you sweat when you use them? Yes, I sweat, but I use 2 pillows and flip them when I feel hot. There are no sweat stains on my new pillows, however, which is a big change from my old pillow cases!
