Can I wash it? Is it waterproof?

They are meant for mouth stimulation so definitely water resistant. I have never been brave enough to submerge them with the dishes or something, but definitely washable with soap and water.

I inserted double aa batteries but it didn't work. Is there a special way to insert them?

Press the button or hold down on the middle it should come on. If not it's defective. Double check the battery position. Hope it helps.
