38-234 12-Inch Ratcheting Bar Clamp and Spreader

These work just fine. They are larger than I thought, but are as good as others I've used that were more expensive.

The easy switch of the end piece makes it the best way to go from a ‘inner’ clamp to an outer press clamp. Plus the length is a great help. The low cost makes the other clamps in my work shop jealous.

I ordered this unit to expand the webbing on my deck chairs to insert the spacers. First off there was no instruction on what to expect and where the release button was located. I reversed the head of the unit and placed it on the chair back. The unit applied just barely enough force to hold itself in place. I tried to get a second click out of the hand grip and it would not reset to apply more force. The grip is awkard. The cheap plastic ends are too smooth to grip and stay in place. I don't think this device is made for any kind of hard work that requires generating any pressure or force. I do not recommend.

This one has a reversable head. So doubles as a spreader when you need to spread something just a touch.

Works well, but I do not support a lot of pressure for demanding work, Good quality, but not for heavy Duty.

Handy and easy to use light duty clamps.

What a cool new tool. For making repairs to aa antique dresser mirror that had to be refitted to the frame, to this is a must have. Great tool!
