Will a weed eater plastic string damage it?

No, this is made of very durable plastic. A string trimmer (with nylon string) can't damage it.

Can the two pack be used to extend the one longer? Also are these as pictured?

Will they blow away on concrete? Suggestions what to use?

Yes, they may blow around on concrete without the stakes. You could put a small concrete block or rocks in the space underneath to secure them.
