This crimper heats up quickly, and has a really nice heavyweight cord which seems safer. The controls are inside the handle which I thought would bother me but instead it's good because you don't accidentally change the settings. It has about six different heat settings which I really like. I'm using it to crimp a few underneath layers to achieve a little volume, and it really works for that. It's one of the lower-priced options I found and I am very happy. I'll update my review if it quits working.

iked it! nothing fancy, just does the job. i mostly use it at the roots for that instant lift and it works—gives that “fresh blowout” oomph without teasing. heats up quick, crimps hold all day, and it doesn’t snag.pros: easy to use, great root volume, long-lasting texture.cons: plates get hot (watch your scalp), and if you overdo it you’ll see tiny crimp lines—go light and only at the roots.tips: do small sections, quick clamp-and-release, then fluff with fingers. a little heat protectant + a light hairspray at the roots = chef’s kiss.overall: happy with it for volume days.

I finally caved and nabbed one b/c I needed some major volume on a new wig. This lil crimper did NOT disappoint! It heated up pretty fast and the wig crimped with very little effort! So easy to use, even over an extended session.

It crimps REALLY well, but the smell is so bad I only used it once and I’ll never use it again, so I just wasted all that money. I used it a full week ago and I’ve washed my hair three times and I STILL can’t get this burnt / chemical smell out of my hair. Super disappointed and now frustrated because I have long hair and have to smell it all day long. Would not recommend.

It seems to work fine. BUT, you can tell it was a return. The box was messed up, and the cord was just smashed into the box! We all know that is not how the cord should be! It should have been noted that it was used!!

Product is generally good for the price, however the plug is a U.S plug which is no good for me as I am in Australia.It doesn’t mention anywhere in the description that it was a U.S plug. I would think if they are sending a product FROM Amazon Australia it would have an Australian plug.Also, the cord is quite short, so unless you have a socket that’s close by you’ll need an extension & a converter.
