I'm happy with my purchase of the Brabantia ironing board. I had to return the first one because it was damaged on arrival, but the second one arrived safely. It's a great upgrade from my old cheap one that I got at a big box store. I got size C (49" x 18") with the steam unit holder. I use a cordless iron with a base, and the platform to hold it is very nice to have. The platform is a good size and I can even keep my snips, water bottle, and ruler on it too. The other thing I like is that this ironing board can be raised as high as ~38" and since I'm tall (~5'11") this works well for me. As for negatives, there are not many. It is sturdy, but not quite as sturdy as I was hoping. It does rock a little bit and shift more than I was expecting when pressure is applied. However, I suppose my expectations might be unrealistic. It is still much sturdier than my old one.

I've used oversized ironing boards for many years, and have tried to convince my daughter to give up on her regular (tiny!) one. I guess she finally took my advice and asked for this XL board for Mother's day! I was shocked at how much more expensive they are now (I paid $50 for mine, but that was twenty years ago), but they're worth it just in the time you can save. This board is solid and sturdy, and she hasn't complained yet, so I assume she's happy with it.

The adjustable height moves smoothly—no squeaks, no wobbling, no fear that it’ll collapse mid‑shirt. The hardware looks like it was designed by someone who actually cares about ironing, which is rare and slightly concerning. And the oversized metal platform? It’s basically the penthouse suite of ironing board real estate. In short, my guilt evaporated the moment I set it up. I went from “Did I overspend?” to “Why didn’t I buy this sooner?” in about 30 seconds. If my initial enthusiasm sticks around—and I hope it does—this might go down as one of the most unexpectedly satisfying purchases I’ve made. Who knew an ironing board could spark joy?

Je suis ravie de mon achat ! La table est vraiment magnifique, avec une grande surface de repassage très confortable, idéale même pour les draps et les vêtements longs. Elle est très stable, rien ne bouge pendant l’utilisation, et la qualité des matériaux est au rendez-vous

Positive: - good wide surface to work on - looks stunning - surface is nice to touch and iron glides well. it's a bit a little too grippy for the fabric to be pulled over easily but maybe change with use - can act as extra bench in a pinch - lightweight - easy to store - a necessity for a steam generator iron users Negatives: - area for the steam generator iron is not well supported. Mine is rather bent when i place my steamer on top of it - area for the steam generator is just a piece of metal. Steamer can move around it. Some rubber/silicon mat is needed - there is a flawed design where you have an opening between your board and the shelf. Cord from your ironing station can easily be trapped in that opening - if you have a powerful steam generator iron, your will have water all over it and all over the floor - it was delivered without any packaging and was damaged during shipping - cardboard template for t-shirts is handy but it's very flimsy. I wish they included a proper one instead - no solution to be able to hang it when in storage

Overall, this is a very sturdy and good ironing board. Stable, the frame is made from metal, so you can be sure it will serve you for years. On the other hand, the ironing holder part is slightly smaller than I expected. The usual Philips steamers don't fit on it. Maybe it was designed for smaller steamers, but definitely, it should have been designed for steamers, not for standard irons.
