Will this permanently straighten my big toe after long term use?

No it will not permanently correct Hallux abductovalgus.  "Bunions" are a combination of structural and biomachanical factors causing the first metatarsal to deviate from the 2nd metatarsal increasing the intermetstarsal angle.  The majority of the time the apex of the deformity is angulation of the 1st metatsrsophalangeal joint in the midfoot.  The 1st metatarsal is actually perfectly normal.  Subsequently the muscles that attach to the lateral side (2nd toe side) the of the great toe have a mechanical advantage and pull the toe toward the 2nd toe.  The "bunion" or prominence is actually the 1st metatarsal head which is subluxed from the base of the toe.  The prominence may enlarge from the constant pull of the collateral ligament and joint capsule constantly pulling on the bone, a phenomenon described by Wolf's Law..

Does this fits a womens's size 5?

You should have no trouble. Two pieces are just stretchy fabric that forms to the foot and the others are rubber/stretchy stuff that should also work as it sits between the toes and would be easily modifiable should the ring be too large.  It is one size fits all and I imagine it would fit you.

Does this product correct bunion issues completely or only just provides pain relief?

It helps with pain and comfort relief. I've finish my surgery and the devices help keep my feet together for muscle memory. The just help stretch the joint and lossen the bones.
