The jump starter cables are a bit short so you may have to get creative with where you position the unit, and you may wish you had a some tape or a bungee to hold it secure while you start the vehicle if you are by yourself, but it gets the job done. It would be ridiculous to purchase this jump starter without the case unless you do not plan to take it with you. Maybe if you are going to make a purpose built storage solution for it to keep things organized or don't plan on transporting it you could drop the case, but I find it very protective and useful for keeping the unit separated from the accessories, the accessories organized so you aren't untangling or hunting for parts. I threw mine in the deep freezer overnight just to see if it would actually preheat the next day and it got the job done. For me here in Colorado a jump starter that won't work in the winter is next to useless so this rocks. It seems to hold a charge relatively well over the course of a month or so, but you'll certainly want to charge it back up to say 70% or more at least once a year like any lithium which is a bit of a pain compared to jumper cables and it's not cheap, so I only own one and take between vehicles. The main benefit of course is that you can be in the middle of nowhere and jump start, and the second real benefit for me is that it takes up a little less space and weight in my vehicle than a reasonable length set of jumper cables.

This thing is a beast. I've been starting dead tractors and combines with it, and of course, vehicles.I had one occasion this summer when the mechanic was trying to jump a JD S760 combine, using a 2023 Ford service truck. The truck has an idle timeout and shuts off, and, after an hour trying, the mechanic borrowed my Hulkman. He had the combine started in less than a minute. He has since bought his own. He's not the only one I've influenced to buy this, just by loaning it out.

I bought the larger size. I am amazed how well it works and it is simple to use. It started my dead dead dead 7.4 liter Chevrolet Suburban which had been parked for months. Even when needing to turn over the motor so the fuel pump could get gas to the engine it started the Suburban on the first try. Feel confident buying the product. HULKMAN ROCKS!

Not quite as small as my Husband thought it would be but…he absolutely loves it! So easy to use and carry. This device jumped off a 65’ Manlift that’s so big it takes an 18 wheeler to carry from job to job.

originally purchased this unit for my diesel but after only a few uses it stopped working. After a long drawn out process, Hulkman sent another unit to replace the original. The replacement unit worked once, the next time I tried to use it, it was NO GOOD. So now I have two $300 door stops. You do what you want - this was my experience with Hulkman.
