The listing states 90% cotton, 10% polyester.

How is the sizing on this vest for a ladies large? It will fit over a shirt.

I believe the sizes are Chinese sizes so it will depend on your own personal size and your fit preferences. I am 5’5” 135 pounds and I ordered a medium. I can comfortably wear a light jacket or hoodie underneath.

can you fit a 10 inch tablet in the large pockets?

Nope... My I-Phone X will NOT fit into any of the pockets ... it sticks out the top.... and that is the reason I bought this... /me sad face.

The description states "lightweight cotton/polyester blend. detachable back, it's breathable." what is the detachable back?

All I can figure is "printer's error". The back is mesh which aids the coolness and weight, but I could not see anyway to detach it (or reason).
