Hands on creativity
Grand daughter has had hours of fun creating. easy to use, just put down a old shower curtain and let her use her imagination. She is a 10 year old and created some very nice pieces. Easy to use and set up. Good value for the money.

Great gift, help with first use
Worked so well. Buy extra clay. Our granddaughter was delighted. You will need to help the first time a child uses it, but then they are off to the studio!

Fun for kids and adults, can be really messy, but just prepare a lot of covers.Don’t really like that it’s made of plastic so it’s slightly flimsy, but overall great fun gift and activity idea!

Not a toy to use without adult supervision
This is such a fun little toy to promote kids artistic talents. If you think that kids younger are going to sit down, put this together, and start their own project while following the beautifully detailed instructions to create a beautiful bowl or vase, you're 100% wrong. This project requires constant attentiveness and will make quite a mess. It is, however, a fantastic gift to be able to sit side by side with your children and explore the world of making mistakes and learning from them. This will show your children that imperfect is ok. I had as much fun as our kids. I suggest buying each kid their own so they can independently work, but encourage one another. It would have been a disaster if they would have had to share.

Bought as a gift. It was difficult for my child to use and she got very frustrated that she could not create things. Overall a little messy but that comes with doing pottery.

Actually works!
We bought this pottery wheel after receiving a battery operated one as a gift for my daughter. The battery one would stop spinning as soon as you put any pressure on the clay, so it was impossible!This one actually works! My daughter loved making a little pot. She put the little gem stones all over it and then painted it once it has dried.We got it for $50 with 3 lots of clay, and all the accessories. Only a little more expensive than the cheap battery ones.I would highly recommend this as a gift for a child, or even a first pottery wheel! Easy to follow instructions and it actually works! So it’s not just a rubbish kids toy!
