I bought this as a night light to make the top of the stairs safe, but it is useless as it turns off after an hour, then does not come back on until someone turns a light ON or the next night, when it goes dark again :/ I wanted something that comes on at dusk and goes off at dawn and this is not it!

This is probably the most annoyingly badly described product I've ever had the misfortune to purchase. It is NOT a dusk to dawn sensor (on at dusk and then off at dawn), it turns a light on at dusk but then it turns it off two hours or four hours later, or turns it on and off randomly during the night which is completely useless. Also on the website the description is misleading and the reviews are mostly for a completely different product apart from one which actually agrees with what I'm saying. The only instructions are written on the outside of the box, in very small text. Obviously you don't get these instructions until you've actually bought the product which is too late. Very annoying and time wasting. If it was described as a 'Dusk to dawn randomly on and off during the night security timer' or similar description, that might be acceptable

Probably my fault but this product switches on firc2 or 4 hours and then chooses one of three on/off throughout the night at random so your house looks like there are people in it it. Admittedly weird people who switch a light on for half an hour every hour or some other on/off randomness continuously throughout the night. Still, just read the details of products and don’t assume stuff like I did.

This is not a dusk to dawn sensor - it is a security device. it switches whatever is plugged into the socket on and off (from dusk til dawn) at random intervals.

This is an excellent plug
