This an excellent call system that needs no setting up at all, just plug in the receiver and it works right away. I've not even changed the default sound or volume, it's loud enough to wake me when my mother rings during the night. It's really only a temporary measure, but before it u had a few days of very disturbed sleep as I was always on edge waiting for her to shout out. With this, I don't need to worry about falling asleep as this alarm will wake me.

The receiver is in one room away where I cannot hear it but hubby can, and the button is next to my bed hanging on a hook for easy quick reach. I recommend this product to anyone needing assistance in the home (the receiver requires AC electricity so it is not really portable). But it is excellent for home use.
