I ordered Shepherd’s Potato Stew with Beef as an easy meal option for a long road trip, hoping to cut down on eating out. It ended up being a great choice. The flavor is great, a blend that tastes far better than you’d expect from a freeze‑dried meal. It’s filling without being heavy, and the seasoning is spot‑on. Preparation was simple and quick, which made it ideal for travel. All I needed was hot water, and within minutes I had a satisfying meal. While it’s designed for backpacking and emergency kits, it’s also fantastic for road trips, hotel stays, or any situation where you want something warm, reliable, and tasty without hunting down a restaurant. I’ll definitely be keeping a few of these on hand for future adventures.

Every thing was fine; but I am just not a fan of this particular dish. I like the Mac and Cheese better; and I really like the Beef Stroganoff.

This turned out to not be what I expected. It wasn't bad, just not what I was looking for. A bit too spicy for my taste.

Prepared this as described.it take about 15 minutes and it is worth the wait. I was surprised how good this tasted and the texture was nice. The only way you could tell this might have been a dehydrated meal was the texture of the meat. Don't let that put you off as it was delicious. Highly recommended.

Worst freeze dry meal I’ve ever had. Left a weird sour taste in my mouth. Flavors overall were just flat out bad. I’ve got some other meals from this brand I’m scared to try now after this one.

One thing I don't like about most of these types of meals are the over use of flavoring. This has a lot of salt like most of these meals, but it also something, I'm not sure what maybe peppers? It made it to spicy for me. Don't get me wrong it tastes good, just to much spices. I know a lot of people don't want to carry extra stuff when they backpack, but i don't mind carrying a little bit of my own spices for meals. Overall it wasn't bad, just not for me.

Very disappointed in this. Having used many freeze-dried/dehydrated meals over the years, was looking forward to trying this brand and meal. Glad I tried it at home first, took two bites and threw the rest away. Hopefully the other meals from this company are better, but I would not buy this one again.
