Great value for the price!There is a small two-hole tab on one half of the clam-shell that snaps over two "hooks" on the other half so it stays closed. I took away one star because they seem somewhat brittle so I don't expect them to last forever, but I didn't pay a "forever" price either. <smiley face here> I suspect that the plastic "hinge" will be the first thing to go. But it might be the hooks and tab fastener. It really doesn't much matter to me though because of the cost being low enough. They're not something that I open and close every day either.

do NOT get these if you want to feel safe leaving your sd cards anywhere. Half of these things don’t even close properly . Read reviews before you get any kind of SD card holder. They are terrible and take a month to get to you . Once I worked in a factory. The people there got an order of 20 dust pans, problem was they were absolutely terrible, but it’s not their fault, it’s like this, you think it could pull off the one job it was made to do, but no. Whether you’re a film student, Who has one SD card, or professional director who has 52, I would not recommend this to us soul. You may just have to pay the two dollars per SD holder. Only reason I haven’t given it one star is because I got so many.

These are nice holders for SDHC cards. They have an interior border that firmly orients the SDHC. preventing any motion with closed. The only reason for taking off one star is that they are very thin and the closure feels like it will break after a few months. For he price, having a few spares to overcome this potential problem doesn't cost much.
