My go to beard butter. No over perfumed scent and provides good hold throughout the day. Works especially well on humid days.

I've tried a number of products from beard oil, to waxes, to balms, to butter. This one is top notch. I was worried about how hard the butter was when I opened the container as it looked like many waxes do. This was exactly what I was attempting to avoid when moving away from beard wax. I gave this a shot anyways, and boy am I glad I did. You need to use your fingernail to scrape a small amount of the butter out of the tin, and then rub it between your hands to melt it. Unlike many of the waxes I've tried, this melts super easy and is easy to spread throughout my beard. Due to it's original hard consistency I've found that it provides good hold throughout the day. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the smell. I thought cool mint would be nice and refreshing, but it smells like an overpowering after dinner mint. Needless to say it really wakes you up when you're putting this on your face first thing in the morning. I will be switching things up and purchasing the non-mint flavor next time.

Overall I'm very pleased with this product. I have quite a large beard and regularly rotate different products. This was recommended by an unaffiliated 3rd party and I must say, I'm very pleased. Scent (of the Original) is potent but not overwhelming by any means. I'm not good at describing scents so I won't waste your time with all of that. I will say it's a solid masculine smell that I found to be very appealing and, for what it's worth, my girlfriend also really liked it. The hold is fantastic. For the last year or so I've been sticking with another beard balm that was hands-down my favorite... however, it had very little hold. This product's hold is perfect. Like mentioned before, I have a fairly large beard and and need extra hold if I want it to keep its shape throughout a long day. This one does a great job without feeling too "thick" as I've noticed some beard balms over do it and end up feeling more like a wax. If you're having trouble getting the product out of the tin, treat this like you would with a wax. Use a finger nail and scrape the product out, then lather it around in your hands to "melt" it into what essentially feels like your standard oils. That way it comes right out and you can get an accurate amount every time. Last but arguably most important, I've been getting more serious about beard products lately and the BIG thing that interests me is the fact that they do not use any Chemicals, Preservatives, Fragrances, or Colorants in their products. That's awesome because the more research I did, the more I found a large majority of these companies use terrible chemicals, fragrances, etc in their products. I spend a lot of time, money, and effort on my beard so I can appreciate a company that doesn't pump a product full of that garbage. Cheers - I'll definitely be back to buy more.

I have been using Wild Willies for years now. I have tried other balms here and there, but I always end up going back to the Willies beard butter. Best beard butter, for me anyway.

I like this stuff. Easy on the skin and requires very little to hold my beard and it's wild hairs in place. Have used this for years and won't buy any others. Worth the added price. Don't buy the scented and the added chemicals are rough on the skin. Anyone who has worn a bear pd for long knows that the skin underneath gets tender over time and this won't agrivate it - at least that's my experience. May not be yours though. Sure beats those beard oils and heavy waxes - which ruin shirts and pillows. Use just a smidge and massage a lot, as it heats with the warmth of your skin it spreads smooth.

This is my first beard balm. I have used various beard oils before for beard care, but I ordered this during Prime Day and I love it. I've had no problems with beard oil but I was curious about the balms and I think I prefer balms now that I have tried Wild Willy's Beard Butter. I've been using the product regularly since mid-July, so about 4 months now, and I do feel like it is keeping my skin and hair moisturized. It is easy to apply and a bit easier to control than beard oils. The product and ingredients they use seem to be of great quality. I really like to combination of essential oils they use. I'm sure they each have their own hair advantages, but I really just like the scent of the butter. I really only use balms and oils to keep my skin moisturized and beard hair softer. I know some people have other reason for using it like for increased hair growth. I can't really say whether it helps that or not, but I do feel like it makes my beard more comfortable. Plus my kids are less likely to say my beard is pokey.
